This game definitely should be updated, and that's how it going be. Without updates this game will just eventually become new Rs classic.
Can't wait for Nightmare zone being updated to this game which should finally silence all unneeded complains about updating 07scape. This is Osrs, not 07scape.

Yeah and it'll be 'osrs' until too many updates cause the company to go bankrupt.

You seem to be forgetting (or simply overlooking) that updates are what's behind osrs in the first place (updates too many peeps just couldn't 'handle' I suppose).

Takes a pretty selfish person to be opposed to 2 servers remaining unchanged.

You wouldn't have to play on either of them... in fact, I'd prefer you didn't. Just stay where you are and enjoy all the updates you want.

Ofc, if peeps are happy you'd end up having more of those beloved updates you can't live without, so yeah, it would be a bad idea.

Oh and a distinctive difference you might do well to learn... even if I leave the game cause it's gets updated more than I care to see... it doesn't mean I'll be leaving the forums and...

I don't mind new content as long as the graphics stays 2007 style.

Why? because that's the difference between 07 and current server, the GRAPHICS.

If u can implement items such as 3rd age druidic*, nex armours 07 style then that's ok.

With this u don't need to consider all those pesky petition on pre-eoc server.

They can go bankcrupty immediately, if they start offer editions of game any version people like. Why should they offer 07scape when pre-eoc has more asking for it for example.

Why would making 2 servers on the OS make them bankrupt. They could even freeze 2 more servers once GWD has been released, then freeze 2 more servers once the G.E. has been done and so on.

To keep updating without offering this could lead to other people leaving, surely having a person playing (no matter which version of OS) is better than not having a person playing.

They have enough worlds available to do this.

That isn't exactly what we want. If we wanted Classic then we wouldn't be petitioning for 2 unchanged OS servers. thinks Jagex should honour the results of the original Old School Poll

See the FLAW in your 'logic'? That's rhetorical, I don't believe you see any flaw in YOUR supposed logic.

Classic and Old School are about as much the same as Old School and the main game.

Freezing 2 worlds in time would cost them nothing, or next to it, as they wouldn't ever have a need to update those 2 worlds again.

Nobody would be 'forced' to play on those 2 worlds.. the way you seem to believe that YOU are forced to play OSRS as it IS currently.

If those of us who want the old game for what it is, had worlds that REMAINED what it is, I'd guess that we'd spend more time in game than on forums. I'd also wager that we'd be less likely to be voting AGAINST updates y'all wanted (if we knew our game wasn't going to be updated with the same garbage).

Different strokes for different folks and all that...

The polling system seems be more than fair since you need 75% yes support something pass. Just because you don't like updates, it doesn't mean they should provide private servers for you.

Lock me in to the unchanging servers.. I won't mind.. lock those who want changes out... let them have their changes (if they can agree amongst themselves) but don't let those changes take away OLD SCHOOL.

I agree with the first part there. I think 75% is very fair to make updates pass.

However of course if someone doesn't like an update sometimes they will stop playing. I for instance didn't agree with an update and haven't played the game since.

Surely it would be better for Jagex to offer me a version of the game I would like to play. It means more money for them for a start because if I'm not playing enough I will quit membership.

The private servers would be for those wanting no change, they offered them to PK'ers, why not to other people, as it would not affect you at all. thinks Jagex should honour the results of the original Old School Poll
