Runescape 2007 needs updates, as many people have been saying 07 is dying and no players will be eager to log on without any knew content. However with this recent poll on dom onions cave's its a move in the right direction. Personally the ealier this comes out and the early gwd comes out the more beneficial it will be on the increase of players. Also knew quests would keep players playing as alot of people love doing them. If you don't add updates that keep a player innactive im affraid 07runescape will eventualy die.

How about finding a 'middle ground'? A 'happy medium'?

Select 2 of the current servers and reboot them. Back to the original release of OSRS (none of the NEW content, none of the updates done so far).

Take these 2 servers and keep them exactly how OS was released (where nothing will EVER be added to these servers).

You gave pkers 2 f2p themed worlds, it wouldn't hurt you to offer those who want no updates 2 worlds where NOTHING would ever change.

Make peeps start over (again) if you wish. Wipe my bank and stats and any other requirement you deem necessary... but give us a couple of worlds where we can KNOW that none of the updates will impact on OUR game.

Lock the characters to the servers. Make it where accounts created for those servers can only play on those servers (and accounts created on current servers can't access these unchanging servers).

I don't mind updates as long as they are not game changing.

This Dom Onion for example is a good update as long as it doesn't give any new rewards which I'm glad the new armour didn't pass. That would of been stupid.

And I really think GWD should NOT be brought into the game for quite a few reasons. Mainly because of balance issues and items being made obsolete and less valued.

I personally want the "Old School" Servers to become more of a "perfect RS" Server, so we pick any update from the many eras of RS, say... we could have all the bosses, quests etc, just without stupid minigames like runespan, which totally devalue the runecrafting skill - also I would like this game to return to an almost pre-eoc stage, just without many of the high xp gaining things like ivy, effigies and master horn for example.
I still want to fight the hardest bosses, but this time around I would like to fight Nex without Overloads, summoning etc.
I think this server has a lot of potential to grow into something amazing, but the community just have to allow updates to go through, otherwise this game will simply end up like RSC with a mere 200 players on it.

I am all for updates as long as the new content is tested before it is added to avoid overpowering. @Mod Mat I was wondering how feasible an idea such as this (322-323-884-65014543) would be and would it be possible with the tools already at hand?

I would love this, I would actually start playing again so you would gain a member back. thinks Jagex should honour the results of the original Old School Poll

Honestly I think we need updates in OSRS...

On the first week we used to have 50k players online... now around 20k...

We know updates will not always make both side satisfied, but some updates are a must to keep the game enjoy-able.

Tbh, as long as we don't get SoF , EoC , Solomon , Loyalty programm its ok for me.

Summary: I would like to have Runescape from 2009-2010 with bounty worlds.
