My problem with the revenant cave rewards was that it would add yet another vastly overpowered item in the game and continue the power creep. Jagex made these silly mistakes many years ago and attempted to resolve the issue by introducing EoC.

Instead of moaning I thought I would propose some alternative ideas to best in slot gear.

Necklaces:

These new necklaces would be dropped by revenants and would have special abilities that could only be used in the Wilderness.

Necklace of Escape: The ability to use any shortcuts, walk through closed doors and to walk through uncut webs in the Wilderness regardless of the player’s agility level.

Necklace of the Gods: The Prayer points of a player would drain slower in the Wilderness. Also, an additional +5 prayer points would be boosted above the player’s level if they pray at a Wilderness altar.

Necklace of Regeneration: The player’s special attack and HP level would re-charge 20% faster if worn inside the Wilderness.

Necklace of Resilience: An opponent’s special attack would be 15% less effective if worn inside the Wilderness.

Necklace of Invisibility: The players white dot on the minimap would disappear at random intervals.

Necklace of the Mage’s: The three Mage Arena spells would hit 10% higher if worn inside the Wilderness. Stackable with charge.

Revenant Spell Book:

A brand new spell book that would be available to any player, however the individual spells must be unlocked using special scrolls that are dropped by revenants and the player must have a high enough magic level to cast the spell. The scrolls would be tradeable and the powerful higher level spell scrolls would have a rarer drop rate. You can switch to the new spell book by right clicking on any altar within the wilderness.

Ghast Massacre (96 Magic): A high-level spell with a special ability that has 1 in 4 chance of rotting an opponent’s food.
Ghast Annihilate (86 Magic): A mid-level spell with a special ability that has a 1 in 5 chance of rotting an opponent’s food.
Ghast Wreck (76 Magic): A lower level spell with a special ability that has a 1 in 6 chance of rotting an opponent’s food.

God Massacre (98 Magic): A high-level spell with a special ability that has 1 in 4 chance of boosting the players prayer points based on a percentage of the damage they inflict.
God Annihilate (88 Magic): A mid-level spell with a special ability that has 1 in 5 chance of boosting the players prayer points based on a percentage of the damage they inflict.
God Wreck (78 Magic): A high-level spell with a special ability that has 1 in 6 chance of boosting the players prayer points based on a percentage of the damage they inflict.

Frost Massacre (94 Magic): A high-level spell with a special ability that freezes the opponent for 15 seconds and removes 15 run energy points.
Frost Annihilate (84 Magic): A mid-level spell with a special ability that freezes the opponent for 10 seconds and removes 10 run energy points.
Frost Wreck (74 Magic): A low-level spell with a special ability that freezes the opponent for 5 seconds and removes 5 run energy points.

Note: Special abilities do not work on NCP’s and outside of the wilderness. I purposely made the freeze spells underpowered so they do not compete with Ancient Magicks.

It seems ridiculous that one bow is exempt from the ‘God spell only’ stipulation. It is called the Mage Arena for a reason. A nerf doesn't go far enough and the cynic inside me thinks this has been done to appease streamers who want to try and Pk a Twister Bow.

I think there has been a missed opportunity to rejuvenate the god spells themselves, which are only used by low levels nowadays. Perhaps a buffed ‘Charge’ spell for higher levels, named ‘Supercharge’ could be introduced? Furthermore, special attacks and auto-casting would increase the popularity of the spells themselves. Someone has already suggested a brand new spell for higher levels, which would equally make a lot of sense.

As others have said, it would be nice if at least one the bosses would be killed in the Arena itself.

Improved graphics would definitely increase the quality of the update.

A better charge would make z flames Op, which actually is used by higher lvl mages. It was the perfect opportunity to bring Sara strike and guth claws up to par though. But Jagex and the community wanted a better cape for the sake of having a better cape unfortunately, which adds nothing to the skill.

EDIT: So jagex, if you want to improve MA2, imbued god staffs pls. +15% damage to god spells only and +12 or so magic attack. SotD would still be BIS, but this would be make the godstaffs actually viable.

Purchasable for 500-600K or so after the demons are killed, price to be adjusted accordingly of course.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

My stinking opinion: 3 days of rev caves gave 15k more ppl then graph is going down...
i like revs style in rs3 more

for drops i dont know where to start... First stop polling like this: ..this would be around 500k gp/hr blah blah blah.. it doesnt work unless you can see into future and look what people are buying/selling them for. dont tell any gp/hr things.. revs should drop what theyre living parts drop maybe add a little spooky enhancement there. revs were too hastely copied pastaed from rs3 maybe some whole new monster/race would have been better than revs..
Make PVP mean pk'er vs pk'er not Sad pk'er vs helpless 1 item pvm/clue hunter

Bonus: PVP Armours... imagine if im risking 50m in gear vs vestas (or whatever was copy pasta from rs3) if i die i lose 50m and if i win i get rewarded with 1mil only (from the armors) and those're supposed to be BIS.
Why would anyone want to risk 50m for chance of getting 1mil and doesnt even get the armours...
IMO: To improve PVP we need more people who do Player vs Player. not Sad PK vs helpless noob who is 1 iteming some boss

Personally the revenant caves are what made me want to play more. Revenants used to be my favorite content ranging from killing them to killing other players. I think the agility obstacles need to be removed. Obviously the drop table needs to be buffed. Its crap money at the moment. So all the pvmers don't want the PvP armours added. Maybe we can create a new type of armour is what I keep seeing. Well thats dumb just add the armours people. Why recreate new armour for the same purpose or to buff an old purpose it all comes down to the same thing. If you pvmers get the drop then teleport. You guys are missing out on so much more money per hour just by voting no on armours. High risk high reward you guys do know what that means right? Alchables and rare plateleg drops with rates of 11k isn't worth it. PvP armours should be up to 11k or something. Revs are a big let down for me. Just bring the armour in-game or something relatable. I don't think armours should be voteable just like jagex team automatically chose to put Alchables and noted drops. Do something to improve it I don't care. Skillers and the ones who stand alone run the server apparently.

Also do something to make revenants stronger against blowpipe. Make it like it used to be where revenants were weaker to melee weapons. Caves are packed with blowpipers and rigour. Melee still has the same old piety. Needs improvement. I really want rhe ibstacles gone to and so that other parts of the cave are also active. The rev cave teleport is so pointless. Everyone used burning amulet and the canoe if your dumb lol. I want to see a big rev rework overall. The armours were not far from passing maybe the pass rate should be dropped to 50/50 since apparently more than half the server are ironmen skillers and bots who don't vote. Maybe when polls are ran a pop-up should hit you right when you login and you cant move or do anything till you vote. It should be more like a lobby pop up though. It wouldnt workout for us pkers who logout overnight in the wild. Figure out something. Thanks.

Blowpipe being strong against revenants is not a issue, especially considering that it actually has upkeep cost unlike most melee weapons. This isn't Meleescape. Also....they are weak to melee, crush in particular. This is why godswords and elder maul are popular choices for those not using BP.

Agreed about the obstacles though, they are butchering the cave's potential. There's a reason that pre eoc didn't have them.

What about Minus Lamps?? Those were so close to passing, and I can definitely see many reasons why they would be useful, and also they are such a small add on that would only help those who want them. I definitely think a re-poll should be considered.
