I like the idea, not quite like the Grand Exchange in RS3 which I support. I think that players should have the option to sell their items after they log out but like you suggested, for a specific time frame. I think 2 hours after they log out is fair. Not too long, but still long enough for some players to see their offer after they log in. After they log back in if they still have their offer in the Auction House, then it will be valid once again. So that way they can leave the offer in the system as long as they like but only be visible to other players either when they're logged in, or 2 hours after they log out.

Also I saw a post another player made about the idea of having a fee if you leave an offer in for too long, helping to prevent people from manipulating the price of items. I think that this is a great idea and would support that idea if you were to implement this into the auction house interface. Maybe max time of 4 or 5 days?

I know that the Auction House is slightly like the Grand Exchange with the added function of getting to know who you have purchased the Items off. But it feels like its starting to slowly form into RS3 at this rate. Which i bet no one wants. Firstly we are getting a Grand Echange and then next its going to be combat change? Why cant we just have a Trading Centre where it gives you a listing of people wanting to buy or sell items at certain prices. And then you stay in the trading centre to trade or it requires you to go to the player and trade them straight on.

A system which actually requires a bit of effort and makes it seem more that you have actually gone looking for the item rather than place an order and boom its done after a few minutes or so.

We are getting what we want. The community wants a trading solution, the community doesnt want a change in combat. Its not possible to please everybody 100% so jagex just have to come up with the best possible compromise.

This sounds real childish, and I know a lot of thought has been going in about the trading system, but I will not be returning to "Oldschool" RuneScape when this is implemented.

I quit EOC and came back to "Oldschool" because it was the RuneScape I loved and knew... I thought I, and I'm sure many other players were thinking- that we were safe from the ridiculous updates, but no. I've tolerated the updates that have passed through "Oldschool" RuneScape so far, but this is a step to far and this is arguably the same as the G.E. Bringing back this "G.E" and price checks for items is not 2007 RuneScape at all. The server should have been left alone because the "Oldschool" experience is dying away, and fast due to these unnecessary updates.

This is just my opinion, but I am sure I do speak for a good few TRUE Oldschool players out there.

I know myself and many others will play OS a lot more when this is added!

As for people saying this isn't an OS feature, this is very similar to the GE, a 2007 feature. Quit saying it's part of eoc. Eoc truly began when Dungeoneering was made.
