I really like this idea however my only issue with it is i feel like players trying to sell items in low stock will be at a big disadvantage because players who want to buy high stock will go straight for the high quantity people and those selling low stock will have to wait longer for people to buy off them.

Please don't do it. This would ruin Old school. This is basically another Grand Exchange. The only reason in opinion that people play old school it's because of the combat system and the interacting of trading items.

Well, you're half right. But the reason people DON'T play OSRS is because of the trade system.

Are you actually this brainwashed? People don't play Runescape anymore because Jagex ruined it in the past with broken updates like Grand exchange, removing free trade and pking, releasing summoning and implementing disgusting graphical "improvements". The game became unplayable and people quit to move on with their lives; simple as that. Runescape used to be huge, but now it's just a disgrace compared to what it used to be.

Lots of people are coming back to enjoy the glory days of this game, not because of nostalgia but because the game is actually good. If they release all the broken updates again then those people will quit (including me) and the only players left will be RS3 players that don't care anyways.

Quit then. This game is already going down a path from which it cannot recover. The game capitalized on being a cheap, browser based mmo that almost anyone could play in the early to mid 2000s. It has since outgrown its usefulness and is stepping into a heavier market with the new combat, graphics, etc. Jagex can't compete with WoW and other major MMOs.

OSRS was brought out to appease at that time, current displeased members. They had to save what members they could while they could. But now in this day and age, OSRS won't garnish enough attention to bring players back, and EOC definitely won't. So what else is there for Jagex to do? Milk the last few years of the game and let it die respectfully.

This sounds real childish, and I know a lot of thought has been going in about the trading system, but I will not be returning to "Oldschool" RuneScape when this is implemented.

I quit EOC and came back to "Oldschool" because it was the RuneScape I loved and knew... I thought I, and I'm sure many other players were thinking- that we were safe from the ridiculous updates, but no. I've tolerated the updates that have passed through "Oldschool" RuneScape so far, but this is a step to far and this is arguably the same as the G.E. Bringing back this "G.E" and price checks for items is not 2007 RuneScape at all. The server should have been left alone because the "Oldschool" experience is dying away, and fast due to these unnecessary updates.

This is just my opinion, but I am sure I do speak for a good few TRUE Oldschool players out there.

The "few TRUE" players won't pay Jagex's bills. Don't be so conceited to think that the dedicated few to OSRS should be to control what happens with either game. OSRS would have quickly died had it stayed in its pure****-introduced state.

Btw: GE Released in late 2007. So I don't want to hear a word griping about it.

I have to agree to these points. I also believe Jagex is addressing "problems" that don't exist. The current trading system is perfectly fine as is and alterting the current system will take away from the oldschool experience and will cause the true oldschool community to quit.

If I'm not mistaken Jagex has never properly polled the trading solution. Jagex should poll this separately and should only implement it after a 75% or greater population vote yes. The only time it occured in a poll was on the 31st of March and a small 18% of the population voted for solving the trading issues which were never defined in the first place.

Well, if this is put into place it looks like I'm quitting again. It was fun while it lasted.

It's appalling how lazy people are..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Beginning to question how many of these OSRS players actually played back in the day.

Is this going to be polled? I sure hope so.

I'm beginning to question the same mate. I doubt a lot of players who want Jagex to implement the auction house have played RuneScape before 2007.

For everybody who enjoys a similar mechanism in the game, you are welcome on EoC where they are coincidentally going to introduce legacy combat. If you are not interested in EoC - which I can fully understand - you should seriously re-evaluate how you play the game, as yuGsdraw*caB previously pointed out on page 79.
