Well, I can clearly tell from the community reaction that this is very unlikely to pass polling.
In hopes of changing people's mind, here's my own opinion:

Social interaction will no longer exist:
How does it damage social interaction? Forcing people to one central point to trade encourages it. I would always see people doing bank standing skills and talking to each other on most worlds.
Additional to this, what social interaction is there anyway? I generally go on **b to trade people. All I do is PM them to discuss a world and place to trade and then meet them. After I trade them I remove them and will never talk to them again unless I need to trade them again. That is not what social interaction is.

Regular trading died out when the GE was added:
The Grand Exchange never did that. Were world 1 and 2 constantly empty after the GE was released? No. They were almost always full for years after the GE was implemented. This is because the GE is an alternative to trading, not a way to remove it.

Merchanting will die/prices too cheap:
People were able to merchant just fine with the GE. Merchanting with the current system is just buying small quantities of things cheap from people and selling them for way more than they're worth in bulk. Prices will be become cheap because prices will not be as manipulated as they currently are. Skilling will remain profitable as the items they produce will still be required.

Game will become too easy:
Runescape is a grind game. You grind for skills, you grind for money. Why do we grind for these things? For the sense of accomplishment. When I'm training for 70 attack I feel great after I reach it as I can now use a whip. I feel great when I gather enough money to afford a whip, but when I potentially spend a long period of time buying a whip I get frustrated. There is no sense of achievement in trading

This idea actually looks like it'll improve on the GE, so please don't just vote no because someone is manipulating your opinion.
