But why keep spending all this time on artisan if there isn't guarantee it will even pass? (And in likelyhood, looks like it won't). Can you at least throw a survey up to see if people will vote for it no matter what changes you make, and stop wasting time if it has an abysmal approval rating based on the core function of the skill?


Also, why is this crap skill being hammered through when nothing's been done about trading yet? Put the in game zeib it so it can fail and we can start to really address the trade issue.


The trading solution is being worked on by the engine team right now, and is out of the OSRS team's hands. Working on this has no bearing on the work for the trading post. :)

How can you tell it will fail? TBH I'm fine with any trading solution as long as it's a trading solution. I don't see a single reason why it would fail.

-We already have **b, it doesn't address the issues people have
-It's not an update to trade, it's an update on finding trades
-If it is placed in a limited area, it will be dead on arrival, since it's easier to just open up a tab.

So you mean to tell me that an entire new skill will take no engine work, or that the trade post will take no graphical work, and that this is no way interferes with other updates?

Why are you being so ignorant? Obviously the entire team can't all be working on the trade solution. I'm assuming one person is writing code and trying to implement the in-game trade solution. Why? Because its much easier to write code when you don't have someone breathing over your shoulder or giving advice not knowing what you have in mind!

Moreover, the fact you think it will fail is simply your opinion. I fail to see your logic. What I do know if that your negativity will also bring about negative impacts. If you want the trade solution to work then try to have a little faith and don't put it down before you've tried it. Oh, and try it with an open mind otherwise you'll hate it even if it's awesome.

I don't think that has anything to do with what I said, but it is very likely that the engine work for the trading post would be completed before work would even need to be done for Artisan. Not only that, but a dedicated programming team is more than capable of multitasking. :)
