Please, please, please do not let this idea just drift into the darkness, never to be seen again. I absolutely love old school, I've played RS since 2002 and I am a much bigger fan of osrs than rs3, however in old school we have been needing something to return more value to almost all of these skills because they have become practically useless besides for having quest and diary requirements... We need this terribly. Skills have become just useless money sinks for the most part and many of them are just so tedious to train via the options we have available.
This is the reason why I love slayer, it keeps things from getting too reapetitive and boring. This is something we've needed for way to long. I personally actually enjoy skulking more than combat personally, but as it stands currently, that portion of the community has been vastly ignored and pushed aside for the sake of the PVMers and PK community. It's as if skillets are just treated as unimportant and less important. A game who's only strength is the combat is a game that will die quickly and painfully. But when you have a thriving system for skilling as well, the game will thrive much more, the community will thrive, the economy will thrive, their will be so many options to choose from for once.
To be honest I never understood the reason for having different metal axes and pick axes but NOT for harpoons... Made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. This should have been added from the start. And different types of fishing poles and nets as well. I mean it only makes sense. Why leave out fishing from ALL OTHER SKILLS in this sense?
