This skill looks very promising. The rewards/benefits look worthwhile; in fact I kinda feel like avoiding skilling until this comes out. There are a couple things I see issues with though.

The first are the artisan tools. I love the idea, but the Experts Harpoon seems redundant. We already have the Barb-Tail Harpoon from hunter which does the exact same thing. Although a harpoon that catches more tuna than swordfish may be nice for the purpose of tuna potatoes. Besides that, I've love to see more artisan tools added, like equipable knives for fletching and fishing/fly fishing rods for fishing. Also, a better equipable hammer that gave a chance to smith faster, like the varrock armor from tasks did, would be cool as well.

The other thing that may be an issues is the task size and flooding the market. In slayer the tasks tend to be quite large, usually over 100. If the same if true for artisan, this means a lot of these items would be made which could decrease their value and probably result in players throwing them away. For many I can see the task size being smaller, but if this is true I hope the exp isn't small as well. So I hope that the task sizes are small but give decent exp.

Question, So when you return to your master after gathering the required items you have the option of crafting said items or going on another gathering task.

I get that, but, say you decide to do 10 gathering tasks in a row and skipped the crafting part. Could you then ask your master for 10 crafting tasks in a row, using the items you have accumulated? Or, could you only ask for a crafting task for your most recent gathering task?

Thanks - Pic

Please, Jagex, don't implement this new skill.
I really would hate Old School Runescape to change that much, and I feel only the players that aren't veteran Runescape players would enjoy this new skill. It would take out all of the authenticity of this game. Please, DON'T.

I will vote no on this.
What a horrendous waste of dev time and resources.
The only aspect of this that I find intriguing are the combination runes. They would make pking with magic a bit better as those of us who pk on the normal spell book have to carry half an inventory full of runes to be able to bind/tb/damage.

When this fails. I hope the combination runes are re-polled as an expansion to runecrafting.

I like it but I do hope and all these new items made via the Artisan skill won't be trade-able. Especially the artisan tools
Example:
- Obsidian pures can train their Strength now with a weapon equivalent to a dragon axe / pickaxe. You can avoid this by removing the combat bonuses of these tools;

- Buy-able best magic robes @ 1 def which of now the best magic attack bonus at 1 def is Ghostly;

- buy-able artisant bonus xp armor;

- buy-able cosmetic clothing;

- buy-able bracelets which makes mining, fishing, woodcutting and hunting faster.

Second paragraph you said: "One of the key things from the last round of feedback was the impact artisan has on combat. So, we have removed all the combat benefits from artisan and made it truly a skiller’s skill. The only impact artisan has on combat is the ability to create magic robes."

But still you added the double handed crossbows which will have an impact on ranged.

I like the skill but just want the rewards not to be trade-able just like the stamina potions were trade-able. Now agility is profitable.

P.S. Typo @ 'Using your resources' first paragraph : (typed 'slayer' instead of 'artisan')
If you choose another gathering assignment, your slayer master will give you one and you can keep the resources you have already gathered.
