There are 42 pages on this dev blog, and although not 100% accurate, I would say that there is more than 40% of comments stating that they do not like this idea, and will be voting no. That is more than enough people, who do not like this idea, including myself, that mean it would not pass in a poll.

If any Jagex mods actually take the time to read these comments, please do yourselves a favour, and save any more wasted time trying to polish this Turd.
Poll it now, accept that the community does not want this lame skill, and put your hard work and effort into much more appreciated updates.

This is an example of how I see your polls most of the time.

If a dinosaur started to attack you, would you rather,
A) Have no Hair
B) Start a promiscuous relationship to confuse the Dinosaur.
C) Learn Spanish in the hope of conversing with the Dinosaur.
D) Sample the roar of said Dinosaur and make a Dubstep song that could shame Skrillex.

Can you see, that you have given us limited options. We must vote for at least one, in fear that nothing gets updated to the game, but the options you provide us are not always all that. Please in future add a seperate square, that says, all of the above are rubbish, but something still needs to be done.

The ideas presented on this draft are significantly better than the previous ones. However, this skill still does not earn my support. I like what I am reading, but some parts/concepts need to be improved still.

I honestly hope the developers take their time with this one. In the past, everything that has been rushed in this game has just been terrible content, such as EoC, Legacy mode, the hideous staff of dead and graceful outfit models, etc etc.

This is so true, there were like over 100 entries for the new skill, but they chose the ones they like the best, and didn't give the community to choose one or some of the 100, maybe there were other skills which didn't give so much 'negative' feedback.

Please end this thought of adding another skill and other updates, there are already too many updates for Runescape 2007 and it's being turned into something that I myself and other players do not want to see or play. The point of bringing 07 back is being missed completely. Runescape 2007 was voted to be brought back because the players preferred to play at this time in the game, and some people do not want that view to be changed. If 07 keeps getting updates and additions is it Runescape 2007 anymore? I myself do not like any ideas of any new skills because I do not want to play a newer/different type of game, what I want to play is classic 2007 Runescape and not some newer addition to the 2007 gamplay! I began to play 07 because I didn't find a liking to all the new changes that had been taking place in the newer versions of the current game of what is now RS3. What I suggest to players that want changes to the game would be to go to the current game(RS3)'s thread and post your ideas there instead of ruining what we have in an already wonderful game in which we have in the 2007 servers. If something is good why change it? I hate the idea of 2007 being changed as well as some others and I would appreciate giving this a read.

I hope Jagex actually read these. But this game is at it's peak with hunter being the last skill. This game all went down hill with summoning. I quit shortly after summoning was released. If you people want new skills then play EOC. I agree this game should be updated, but only the little things. When you add something like a SKILL that's huge! It's like going into a time machine and just changing the way the game went. If this skill is pasted I'll probably quit again because I like the way it is now. Jagex better have a better poll then just a simple yes or no. All the kids who want this skill didn't play when this game was at its top in 07 they were probably still in elementary school. So I feel majority of the people wanting this skill are the immature young kids who have no idea how this game was back in the day before EOC ruined this game.
Our posts are very similar so I do agree with you. Why change something that is already excellent in what we already have!?

Absolutely nothing I read here makes me think this belongs in old school. This is pure EOC material. And should only be done on EOC. many of us were willing to quit runecape altogether to get away from stuff like this, now jagex did not learn their lesson and is importing it here. The only way it should come to old school is as a completely optional mini game, and any player should be able to delete it from his personal game within the first month of release if he finds it annoying. As for me... I would be hitting the delete button as often as necessary to make it GO AWAY. DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Not happy with os

You can't play the exact same game with no updates and expect it to hold it's appeal. Updates need to happen and new content has to come out for any game to be successful. At least this time around they're not releasing over powered weapons or armors that devalue other armors. They're also polling every update so that at least 75% of the community agrees it should be released.

Don't blame Jagex, blame the 75% of people who voted yes. Either way, this game is fine. You'd whine if there was no updates and you whine if there is.

Thank you. No matter what, the game will be PERFECTLY fine and all of these people whining about it will whine no matter what. Even if Jagex did EXACTLY what they wanted and how they wanted it, they'd find something to pick at. Nothing will be perfect in a world where voting among the people is in control. I feel like Jagex should take the reigns and actually make an executive decision on a huge update for Old School before it goes under; whether it be Artisan or something completely different. It doesn't have to be a skill, but it has to be something that actually appeals to new players and veteran players alike. In that case, it wouldn't be a new quest for high level players or new items for high level players. THINK PEOPLE THINK. This isn't about making just YOUR gaming better, it's for NEW players and VETERAN players alike. Don't just think for yourself.
