the fountain of rune idea is pretty terrible. So you dont get xp but it doesn't cost any runes. Most people alch now for the xp and take a loss on gp. heres an example..
Say you buy yew longs at 650 each, their current price. So If i alch them for no xp and I'm doing it for money, thats roughly 118k profit per hour. First off, people don't like to alch for xp, let alone do it for 119k gp per hour.
The next issue will be that items that people alch to break even will not break even So anything you could alch to break will increase in price. here's an example..
say yew longs are 488 each, and natures are 280 each. You would break even at 768 per alch, and gain xp. Well because people can essentially alch them for free, their price would go up to 700 or 750 gp each. MEaing that people who alch for xp will lose more gp when alching.
I've looked through the spellbooks and nothing appears to be worth saving a rune and getting NO XP while gaining gp. There needs to be some sort of xp gain or its just dead content before it even comes out.
