Well its obviously not going to get voted in so why not come up with a completely new idea or have another poll with 4 or 5 ideas sopecifically targeted to a new skill people would enjoy and see which one gets the most votes then go with that one it took me like 10 seconds to come up with that idea and this is your guys job) its like you dont know what you're doing.... its like you guys arent even trying to please the community anymore.

Why not set up a website where players from the community can create their own skills or put forward their ideas for a new skill and then after 3 months or so the community can vote on which one they like the most.

1. it makes it easier for you to please the community and doesnt let you guys **** up osrs by creating a new skill no one wants.

2. lets the cimmunity actually have a positive impact on the game

3. Win Win for everyone.

4. lets people show their creative side and get artistic with it.

This IS a skill made by the community, it was on the Player Designed Content competition for skills. People voted for this, and this won with a overwhelming majority. While I didnt like it personally myself, these changes that Jagex have made have resulted in a much better overall skill rather than seemingly adding onto others. I would vote yes given the opportunity.

What about thinking "Ok, Artisan skill. What can make me enjoy this skill, and what can make it benefit the game in general?"

And avoid the provocative troll response that won't benefit anyone "OMG such lame skill please use your brains the next time and make what I personally want, and not what the community voted for".

I love the idea of Artisan. The community wants a new skill. The community voted for Artisan. Constructive criticism will benefit everyone. Completely bashing the skill won't.

They're only horrible to you. If you didn't like any of them, then don't participate in the voting. It's a choice, not an obligation.

No. You're wrong. I never said voting was an obligation - but I do have a right to vote in every poll, and every option for a poll should be covered. "No new skill" was not an option.

Because 11% of a poll said that players might want a new skill =/= 75%. This will fail a poll.

You may have a right, yes, but the way I am getting your wording is just because your own opinion wasn't a choice, the voting wasn't fair. The vote asked the community which skill people wanted, they voted, now the Dev's are putting forth their effort to try and please the community.

Because the voting wasn't fair! I don't quite get what you're missing here.

11% in one Poll =/= 75% - and there is no way it will reach 75%.

"No skill" should have been an option. If 50% of the population voted this Jagex could see how much of a waste of time this is.

Much better! I dont think there should be boosts for killing creatures.

Ideas for what artisan can unlock:

Imp magnet gloves(needs a new name): Allows for barehanded impling catching.

Bonfire pit: create a pit that can be seen by others, lasts for 10-20 minutes, multiple payers can add to it like on rs3, NO HP BOOST! maybe you can olny add slow burners to the pit.

Chum grinder: grinds fish temporarily aid in catching fish. example shrimp makes bad chum. sharks make good chum. dark crabs makes great chum!

remains crusher: (didn't pass for minigame poll, but maybe if you can make one it will pass) can auto bury bones or spread ashes(like in rs3) lasts for 50 uses, players can only have 1 at a time.

Gold magnet: Create a way to transform a magnet to attract gold for a short amount of time. collects jewelry, gold bars, and coins from npcs on death. after it attracts 100 times it must be "fixed".

will post more ideas as they come.

Constructive Feedback:

At the time of the content priority poll people weren't thinking realistically about what a new skill entails. The general consensus was 'Imagine how awesome a new skill would be'.

People didn't think it through and now there's backlash when reality hits.

Artisan is not what Old School needs. Perhaps a new skill further down the line but not now.

As I see it, and majority of people posting here, on my fl and cc feel that all this new content sounds like skill revamps bundled under a task/slayer copycat system.
Although many of these ideas are great ones, Artisan won't pass because people don't think it's necessary. Skill updates seem better in every way. New content is introduced, old content can be revived but most importantly, massive amounts of time and resources are saved on everyone's part.

These are the reasons my friends and I will be voting NO.

11% in the priority poll. There's no logic behind having a 75% to pass rule there. 75% to pass is for yes/no polls.

Then Artisan got 43% of the votes. Almost half the community had Artisan as a first choice new skill.

The poll clearly stated, Which skill would you like.... it gave a list of options, you either voted or not. If you didn't want to vote, fine. If you did, you voted for what you wanted. It was fair to everyone.

I see this as politics. Those who didn't put their vote forward will still complain about either candidate no matter what, which makes no sense.

Instead of bashing the fact of "fair" why not give something NEW a chance... let's say you put this Artisan skill forward, and you saw all these people telling how trashy it is. How would you feel? Pretty angry I would imagine.. Don't knock it until you try it. That's how everything should be.
