wasting so much time on something that will be voted down..
That's precisely the reason we are working on it. In the Update Priority poll, the third most important thing the community voted for was a new skill. We have a responsibility to the community to try and deliver what they want. If something isn't what the community wants, we should make it what the community wants and that's what makes Old School great.
Obviously the community wasn't sure what that meant/involved at the time of putting their tick in the box, as they now during the last weeks have become more familiar with the idea of a new skill and what it involves. They seem to me to have changed their mind drastically. Which I think should be taken into consideration. Keeping in mind the community had back then no idea of how this new skill would look like, that it even would be made by a player. Also being 3rd in that poll with all those alternatives, as far as i remember, doesn't necessarily mean it will even get 75%
In my view for polls to mean anything at all, the polled should have a clear idea of what they are voting for. This is fortunately now the case with artisan, people can read the blog and vote.
But nevertheless if you are confident that this new skill will be pleasing the community, a new poll shouldn't be a problem. Because Artisan would then be voted for, no?
I feel like Jagex is pushing this Artisan more than they should, and I dislike it.
I might be wrong though, as you by now probably have guessed I'm against the new skill.
Thanks for reading. Have a good day.
