If you release a new type of rune that can act as two types of runes, then will you have to have a task to make them? Or, will it be similar to the Slayer skill where you can kill a creature without a task after a certain level?
If this is the case and the gathering items (like redwood) are tradable, then what is stopping someone from buying thousands of those logs and bringing in an influx of a certain item which may lower the price, and render other pieces of equipment irrelevant in relation to the price/power? The market is mostly player controlled, but there are control variables that the developers need to put in place to make sure that older content is not rendered irrelevant due to the new content. Sharks are more expensive than monkfish because they heal more than monkfish do. If sharks were cheaper than monkfish due to an influx of sharks being introduced into the game, then monkfish would cease to be relevant and would subsequently become dead content.
You guys need to place these protective measures in control so that things like this don't happen. So will someone have to be self sufficient and gather their own resources to eventually craft a tradable item or will the resources to create that item also be tradable?
Besides that I'm not sure what else I don't like. As long as the new content doesn't render old content to dead content, it all seems well.
