Much better! I dont think there should be boosts for killing creatures.

Ideas for what artisan can unlock:

Imp magnet gloves(needs a new name): Allows for barehanded impling catching.

Bonfire pit: create a pit that can be seen by others, lasts for 10-20 minutes, multiple payers can add to it like on rs3, NO HP BOOST!

Chum grinder: grinds fish temporarily aid in catching fish. example shrimp makes bad chum. sharks make good chum. dark crabs makes great chum!

remains crusher :( didn't pass for minigame poll, but maybe if you can make one it will pass) can auto bury bones or spread ashes(like in rs3) lasts for 50 uses, players can only have 1 at a time.

Gold magnet: Create a way to transform a magnet to attract gold for a short amount of time. collects jewelry, gold bars, and coins from npcs on death. after it attracts 100 times it must be "fixed".

will post more ideas as they come.

Thanks Fear! Keep them ideas coming!

If you add bonfires I'm voting no. DO NOT ******* DEVALUE FIREMAKING.

This second go-around looks alot more appealing than the first.

I love the gathering tasks, especially the new trees and higher tiers for existing skills.

I'd just like to see avoiding items that affect the current combat system. It seems like a dangerous game adding beneficial items that may have unforeseen long-term consequences, so I think it's best to let Artisans have rewards that benefit their non-combat skills.

Herding still has more appeal for originality to me, but I would definitely level this skill if it were implemented.

Looking better, heres some rewards I thought of to make some of the gathering skills more profitable and worthwhile

New tradeable woodcutting axe that requires 81 Wc and 70 Artisan to use and 81 smithing and 70 artisan to make and requires a new ore and new log that you attach to a dragon axe.
It would have the same cutting speed as a dragon axe but the benefit is it gives you a MUCH higher chance of getting a new high level birds nest with higher chance of higher seeds.

New tradable pickaxe that requires 81 mining and 70 artisan to use and 81 smithing and 70 artisan to make and requies a new ore and new log that you attach to a dragon pickaxe.
It would have the same mining speed as a dragon pick but gives you a MUCH higher chance of getting gems and increases the cap to onyx. Onyx would be ultra rare and to where you would get around 2-4 from 99 mining while d stones would be somewhat common.

New tradable item called Shark Harpoon that you can only fish sharks with. It requires 91 fishing and 80 Artisan to use. It requires 91 smithing and 80 Artisan to make and would require some of the new materials to make it.
You would fish sharks at the same speed with it so no exp increase but everytime you catch a shark you would have a chance of getting 1-2 extra shark that you wouldn't get exp for.

I also liked the ideas said earlier in this thread of with a high con level being able to make altars in your house that you can use to switch between ancient/lunars and normal magic.

Also I don't like the damage boosters to monsters and wouldn't want that in.

I don't like the artisan skill in general. To me it's just a minigame or dnd like dungeoneering.
This artisan skill looks to be just the same as daily tasks on RS3 where you get a task of gathering or crafting a certain amount of items.

I voted for new quests. They don't even need to be brand new, just take some quests that already exist on RS3 and import them to oldschool poll. I'd love to finish the goblins, pirates and elves quest series. But since this is a pvp & pvm based community we mostly only get those update and quests will be ignored because most people don't like doing them although they have great storylines.

I'm starting to rant but for the low staff amount for osrs, you guys are doing a great job!

ps the chocolate teapot was funny!

I like this much better! More simple and better fits the oldschool feel. I don't want to see too much clothing come from this though. I think the finest clothing should really only come from treasure trails. And I'm still firm on the idea of NO combat bonuses or rewards from artisan. But this is definitely going in the right direction, thanks for taking our feedback. Keep it up!
