Revamped Idea for Combining Runes to make them more useful and more of a reason to participate in performing it.

Item Requirements to Produce - You will need 1 of each rune you would like to combine together and 1 pure essence. This means doom runes (chaos/death combination) require 1 death, 1 chaos, and 1 pure essence.

Level Requirements to Produce - You will need at least the highest level rune's level and additional levels depending on what rune is combined with it.

Bonus Runes Awarded - Depending on your runecrafting level every 10 runes made in a single craft will result in +X of the final rune also granted. This is NOT a way to gain additional runes, but rather to recoup losses. Since normal runecrafting requires only essence. While this requires BOTH runes and essence.

Level 25 = +1 Bonus.
Level 35 = +2 Bonus.
Level 45 = +3 Bonus.
Level 55 = +4 Bonus.
Level 65 = +5 Bonus.
Level 75 = +6 Bonus.
Level 85 = +7 Bonus.
Level 95 = +8 Bonus.

This means if you had a full medium, large, and giant pouch. Then also had 23 essence, 50 death runes, and 50 chaos runes. You would come out with 82 Doom Runes at level 95+ Runecrafting.

Your costs are 50 essence, 50 death runes, and 50 chaos, but you only get 82 doom runes out of it. The experience will only be granted for the original 50 runes combined.

Types of Combined Runes - Combining is tricky to add, but I think on top of being able to combine runes. There should be spell based runes w/ combinations of X amount of each rune. We could see Strike, Bolt, Blast, Wave, and More Runes. I.e. 2 Air and 1 Mind combination for a Strike Rune.
(This part needs more thought so don't focus on this idea).

Possibly we could introduce a way to learn how to combine blood and soul runes into this to finally create a way to kind of craft these runes, but not really. Only you are merging them with other runes.

I love the Idea Oldschool cant just stay the way it is the new content has to be added otherwise it'l eventually die off new skills is a very important thing to add for those who have maxed out there skills. Also I love how Artisan also involves the other skills such as crafting people need to give it a chance people had the option to vote and most people wanted it.

Keep up the good work look forward to the new content you bring out.

- Range has low level armor made with crafting.
- Melee has low level armor made with smithing.

- Mage gets low level armor made with artisans that requires many skills to levels and probably will require a crafting level too.

Please stop this. Mage always goes last, just stop it. This is so unfair.

chocobo wouldn't you want the new content to actually be brand new thou and not just a revamp of the current skills? this is a remake of slayer using other skills and it isn't even an actual "skill".

I understand you can have your own opinion but besides the fact its new content what is your reasoning for liking it?

You have to understand new content can also kill a game look at rs3.

Artisan sounds like an excellent idea. I love the improvements made so far! I really would like to see this in old school runescape. I am a slacker when it comes to certain skills and the extra incentive will help me. I've still never done hunter after playing since 2006. I'm glad the mods are going above and beyond what was asked of them. And I really appreciate the consistent bot nukes =)

This now looks like a skill I wouldn't mind training. Not enough to vote for, but I wouldn't mind if it passed.

The main reason I wouldn't vote for it is because it's essentially small additions to other skills with exp in another skill arbitrarily gating them. Admittedly the game does this a lot already, with such things as the mining -> smithing -> crafting -> magic cycle that making enchanted jewellery requires, but the big difference is that all of those skills have a use outside serving as reqs for making complex items that make them stand on their own. Artisan does not.

I would rather see the vast majority of the rewards added as a small skill extension batch rather than under the guise of a new skill. If the poll fails and it turns out we'll never see them implemented, so be it. I'd rather see it not done at all than done poorly.

I dont understand how players can say that this is a copy of slayer and in the same post say that it isn't a skill. How can it be a copy of slayer (a skill) and not be a skill at the same time? Slayer is a way to train combat while getting extra rewards (access to new monsters and stuff). This is a way to train gathering skills while getting extra rewards. I would love to get extra rewards for grinding a skill for hours. If you are already going to be training a skill you might as well train artisan as well especially at lower levels. Also like Slayer you don't have to train it. It will be a skill cape that you can't buy your way to 99 so it will be rare so maxed players should like that. If this isn't passed as a skill then adding a task master to each gathering skill would be a neat alternative (granted it will be the same exact thing). People are just afraid of the word skill. That's it. Has nothing to do with what the skill is it is just the name. This skill could be the greatest thing ever and purists would still dislike it because it's a "skill". Dont worry about the hate mr Mods. Purists would hate any skill you put forth. I like the new content and think this would enhance the game whether it is introduced as a skill, task system, or mini game (would act exactly the same just wouldnt be a skill). You would have to advance certain "levels" in the task system to unlock better items. Same exact thing just a name change.
