kid, this isnt 2007 runescape, this is oldschool runescape. Grow up, the game needs to change to attract new players...

Quite the contrary no OSRS was not made to attract new players but old players which Jagex tried but failed although OSRS is stable now so I doubt the numbers will dwindle. But you do got a point. Jagex was smart not to name it 2007 Runescape for a good reason as they knew the game would get updates which would nullify as the game it was back in 2007 and to prevent players from saying hey this is 2007 Runescape you can't make updates. But I doubt Jagex plans to make Oldschool Runescape the new Runescape. Honestly most players are playing this version for nostalgia or for the old combat system. Most new players if Jagex hopefully gets new players will care for a more modern combat system that is found on numerous MMOs. Just like if Runescape Classic was still open and RS2 came out. New accounts played RS2 and not RSC. Heck I didn't know RSC exisited, when I created my account in February 1st 2005.

These are my thoughts/questions:

Was there a poll asking if we wanted a new skill? I don't remember, but if so - did it get the 75% votes needed to go ahead with a new skill?

I thought polls needed 75% of the votes to agree, not 49%.

I'm not against new content whatsoever, on the contrary, I love the rooftop agility and motherlode mining updates. They're old-school styled updates that fit in nicely and, although new, they still have that old-school charm to them. So I'm all for new old-school content... but a new skill?! What is this RS3? I just don't get where the demand is coming from. The old-school servers have been around for just over a year now with a small percentage maxed out so I'm sure the majority of players still have work to do before having to train a new skill.

I VOTE NO

I don't mean to be rude... but this skill doesn't seem exciting. I'll be voting no. :/

Sure boosts are nice... but I'd just rather have daily tasks. Just like we have in Rs3. Do tasks and earn a bonus.. or something like that. It's almost the same thing, but with different rewards. Why waste a whole skill, when something as simple as the daily tasks can be added to the game. Just my input. Thanks.

Always happy to see old school content being added!

That being said.....

Why does the mage/range gear suck? Like cool idea but basically cosmetic if ahrims at lvl 70 gives more than the lvl 80? Robe.

Also give people a reason to get the skill up! If the idols/clothing is tradeable then wheres the motivation to get the skill up in the first place.

Positive note there was a lot of things I liked! New armor is always cool and all of the other stuff like the damage boosts and superior foods is cool.

Although I think that adding a superior version of EACH FOOD might be a little much,

Like whats the point of buying a superior tuna when you could buy a lobster for slightly more.(unless they are untradeable and cooking them is toggleable)

Taking all that into mind, id rather have JAG protection first :)

Keep up the good work guys! ;)
