For example, in this week’s poll, I voted yes for the bank space increase (question 13) but had no opinion if we should block walk on the permanent fires within the Rogues Den bank (question 19), I don’t even know what the Rogue’s Den is! Of course I randomly voted yes for question 19 so that Jagex could hear my opinion for question 13. As you said, Jagex is using the polls as an “assessment of the potential” of an idea but people like me who vote randomly on certain questions might make some worthy concepts not pass or unworthy concepts to pass! To keep the polls valid, Jagex should keep the same system but calculate the 75% pass mark by using only the nonblank votes.

Ah, I misunderstood you. My apologies! Perhaps a "Does not apply to me" option would suffice? Or, simply the option to leave your vote blank for any particular question would be good, as I believe you are suggesting; I do agree with this idea somewhat.

NO NO & NO!!!! This is Old School Runescape 2007. There is no such skills in 2007 and there sure as hell isn't in EOC so why are they trying to add this piece of junk into this game?!

It's like Jagex keeps throwing us options of putting new additions into the game but gamers still choose to say no. Why are you guys trying to make so many NEW updates like new sills? Don't put junk like this into polls seriously.

If you haven't guessed it, umm...NO.

I think the rewards system in the blog should be scrapped. Make it more like Slayer rewards.

For example, if you have a higher artisan level, make it so you can fish for a new kind of fish which requires an Artisan level of 50, or you get a new farming patch with a new type of vegetable when you are higher than 60 Artisan. Stuff like that.

It should not have any combat related rewards whatsoever. And I will vote NO on the whole skill if this is not true. There's a reason why overloads were removed from pking in Runsescape. You shouldn't need to train herblore to an ungodly level in order to have a fighting chance in PVP.

My thoughts:
Creature Idols - No. They help combat, and they are way too complex. If you want idols, make them buyable with artisan points and make them help with skilling stuff. Maybe like urns in Rs3.

Artisan tools - Yes. Much like slayer rewards. Earned through skilling and they help you when skilling.

Inspired carvings - Possibly. This is the right idea, but again too complex. How about instead you can buy a necklace or gloves that gives you extra ore while mining and it crumbles to dust after it gives you X amount of ores?

Superior Items - No. For fletching and cooking, this is just lame. Who wants to have extra items which are barely more powerful than regular ones? For runecrafting, it's OP. Always having a chance to make more runes? Instead, how about an item that helps you with runecrafting, but degrades (like runecrafting gloves or altar tabs or other things from the GOP rewards shop in regular RS).

Clothing - Probably not. Again, way too complex. If there is a clothing reward, let them just buy it with the motes. If you want to make them tradeable, that's OK too, but if they are tradeable, then I think they should have an artisan level requirement to wear them. But none of the clothing rewards should give combat bonuses. Artisan is about skilling, not combat.

I like the idea of Artisan, i would be a huge fan, however I agree with several others on this post; the rewards are NOT what I had in mind. They need to be scrapped completely. The xp rate also needs to be reconsidered. For those who do not like a new skill being added... why not? Chance isn't scary in this game; its an opportunity.

what i hate about this is that this kind of skill requires you to have 99 in like every skill which makes it so difficult for people with lower levels to get 99 its always maxed people who benefit new skills. jagex doesnt think about low lvls...

I think it would be good to have a different "artisan master" for each type of skill. That way you could pick what skill you want to work on, though you wouldn't get to pick what task you get in that skill.

Lots of people will complain that they already have 99 in some skill but are going for 99 in a different skill and they would hate to waste their time on the first skill.

And maybe there are some who just hate runecrafting or farming for example and they don't want to train it ever. Shouldn't lock them out of artisan just because of that. Maybe you could work the rewards in such a way that encourages people to do different skills but doesn't require it? Like a small bonus if you do sequential tasks in all different skills?

I think old school has enough skills. You know old school has enough skills when you think of making a skill called sailing. I say add on too skills already in the game and work on stealing creation. This way it will give people a reason to boost up those skills they don't use alot.
