I realize that this is a (dev blog) and not a (poll).
One question tho… weather or not this passes* would Geomancy come next? I understand there is a lot of work involved in anything you do at Jagex hq’s.
I don’t know if this is quality of life or what but someone mention (seeds) and how hard it is to get them let alone the ones you want/need. I have a heck of a time getting Harralander seeds while thieving the master farmer let alone as a drop. If this new skill were to help with this (and other items) then I’d be a lot happier lol
Now, with the coming (trading post) I can see that helping overall much like the original G E did and with any new changes the new Bank spaces are really needed (I really love that since I train everything the hard way (don*t buy skills) and I’m a bit of a packrat… lol
Your all doing great !!! It is hard to stay with the (old school ) way since I did*’t start until 2009 but I have during game play wondered where some things were… example;
The ZMI alter for one and there is no quest to make pickaxes! I’m guessing this skill will change that (the no making pickaxes)…?
Anyway, as I have said* all of you at Jagex are doing great! I still would need to create a document to give all my input tho lol
I never had to the chance to play old school. Since I started it this is my favorite game. I see here that people do not want a lot of changes. My vote was for herding. I will be voting no its to much like the challenge system on RS3. If I wanted that I just go back to RS3.

Not much info regarding the sorts of tasks you can expect and whether or not you can choose which way you train it (ie.. why would I want to train it with skills I'm already 99 in? I don't want to train farming can I train herblore instead? etc. Slayer offers this choice)
Looking like a no.
You mean like they way you use the slayer points?
Now that you mention it, yes that does also apply.
Albeit in a slightly different way.
What I meant primarily was that when you get assigned a slayer task you can pick how you want to complete it. Training att/str/def/range/magic, you can do whichever you want. Here it seems as though you're forced into training... say, Farming when in actuality I'm not interested in training Farming 'cause I'm already 99 or I just flat out hate the skill etc
I think if there was an element of choice it'd increase the appeal. Maybe make it xp based or so that there are multiple ways of completing a task?
I'm not sure if this has been suggested yet, I'm not going to read through 38 pages to find out, but what if the master offered a choice of 2 or 3 tasks to choose from?
Something like...
Craft 120 essence into Nature Runes
Check health on 3 Maple Trees
Make 38 Prayer Potions
Choose for me. (for those of us who like a random task)
