Original message details are unavailable.
Though i disagree his CB makes his input invalid i agree his post is incoherent and wrong many people have given constructive feedback and reasons as to why they dislike the update and content.

i didnt say people didnt give constructive feedback im only pointing fingures to those that are pointing out they'd give a no vote just because they would rather a different skill like geomancy or no cuz it doesnt give much new content to the game or because their to lazy to train a skill or just because they dont like the idea of slayer but for skilling.. They are not being constructive they are being ignorant. I am someone who doesnt vote yes for much new things and lots of these things being said are prck things to say. Their is no need to comment on this crap... If they do does that mean i should start making threads about what i vote no to also? No i shouldnt..

This skill should not devalue already existing items, i'm talking about the superior versions of items like food, arrows etc. What i believe should happen is to make it so those items aren't tradable and make it so if the player wants them they have to make it themselves. So at a high level of Artisan you get the ability to construct a better cooking stove in your player owned house to be able to create these superior foods with of course your cooking lvl, and the same thing goes for arrows and any other forms of superior item.

Before voting I need to know what the balancing would be like.
First of all there are expensive skills like construction, heblore, smithing, and crafting.
and then theres the cheap and fast skills like cooking and fletching.
Everyone will want to train Artisan using cooking and fletching. If you get random tasks, people with low level expensive skills and high level fletching and cooking will have an unfair advantage in training Artisan. They will get the best tasks. Even if you are able to skip, those people will need to use less Artisan points to skip tasks which is also an advantage.

At first, I didn't mind a new slayer-esque skill being added into the game. I glanced over the PDC idea for artisan and thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately, after reading this, I will be voting No. I do not like most of the rewards at all. Idols are way too overpowered and the concept of them is not all that appealing either. The pickaxe-hatchet is also pretty useless since you have to train up artisan to save 1 inventory slot. I have no problems with the increased healing from food. I like the idea of being able to make new types of clothing, but the clothes should not have stats on them. Artisan is a skiller's version of slayer so why should it produce combat related items? The clothing should benefit the other skills (e.g. wearing a full set of farming armor could have a small percent chance of returning your seeds back when harvesting crops). Additionally, I think artisan should extend to skills such as mining and fishing as well.

The skill looks great, the dev blog has changed my thoughts on the whole concept. The one thing I would say is no arrows which do extra damage, all the rest looks well thought out and balanced.

Edit: Oh, and no idols.

With Oldschool edging closer and closer to having 1/2 of all online players being logged into it, we need to be careful with what we do with it. Looking at it from a perspective that's considerate to the game's success, the Artisan skill isn't exactly groundbreaking, due to the reasons in my other post and the reasons that some of the more constructive posts give.

P.S. If you're going to come here and flame Jagex or other players because you don't want it, don't post at all. You need to express why the Artisan skill is not ideal.

I don't like this skill because it doesnt feel new, it feels like there isnt another skill you could come up with and so instead you combined a few...

whilst i dont mind more skills, if this one will require to be trained for quests/clue scrolls then i definetly won't like it..

edit:feels like dungeoneering basicly
