First off, thanks for the time and effort you guys are putting in to this, and for taking time to get feedback from the players; that is pretty rare in games now-a-days.

I actually like the skill, I've supported it from the start. I like the idea of the idols, whether or not they make it into the game in the end I like having a little reward for pvm, which is what I enjoy doing.

I also like variety in the games I play, which is why slayer is my favourite skill. Artisan will bring variety to skilling, brings variety in ways to make money, etc.

Something I would consider adding would be the ability to acquire some form of clue scroll while training artisan. Perhaps as a drop, although it may devalue the current clue rewards if it is too often. Or perhaps a clue scroll may be bought for a certain amount of artisan points (that were being talking about earlier in this forum, similar to slayer points). Having that extra reward system (which is already very successful in the game) as incentive is a huge reason why slayer is so popular, and I think may increase interest in artisan. All the rewards are great, but the incentive of getting that mega pay-day would make it a lot more enticing to train.

I like the idea i Don't agree with doubling runes when you craft them.
I also think that the skill should let you make equipment for PKing pures not just skillers.
For example: like helms, tops legs, boots ect. that don't have a defense requirement and gives verity to Pking pures.

I'm really, really sorry old school team, but i've gotta say, that even you missed the point of your own contest, this was meant to be an skill, and you said yourselves that it should be original instad of trying to implement something from rs3, well, sadly, this "artisan" thingy IS an idea from rs3 (not to mention the attempt to make shooting stars an skill, the dungeoneering forest and the mining/rc/mag training area), is the same mistake as in dungeoneering, it's an skill based on training another bunch of skills without any idea of how it is an "unique" thing, in fact, tough i like slayer as an activity, even that one was like that, it's never fully explained how killing something over and over makes you capable of somehow hurting something you didn't hurt before, it's more like you are just amassing points that are traded in order to access something different, where i'm going, is that artisan is not an skill, in fact, i gotta admit that the idea of making a new skill is hard, there is absolutely NO skill that could be brough up that isn't either a minigame involving OTHER skills (rather than overlap with others, like agility + thieving) or just a branch of an skill made into a new one (summoning), the only one i can think of, is the gazillion different ideas related to "tame" creatures from the game, and that one would have to be made in a way that isn't just an animal version of farming. Of course, when this thing is polled, players will vote yes, because of the same reason players voted for it in the first place: it's quick exp in all other skills, and that's what matters right?
