@OSRS-Jamie Haha agreed, i left around 2011 with each new skill and update came extreme power creep and unbalance so i understand your worry trust me just your first statement felt a little aggressive for something thats going to be clearly turned down.
Sometimes i come off as aggressive not what i was trying to do. It's not just about this new skill, it's about all the updates so fast, to me it seems like deja vu.

First time i see people complaining about too many updates for a game
Not that i disagree though, the treasure trail reward expansion was a bit too much for my taste, this skill would probably make me quit if it was added.

That's not even half of the players...
After reading the forum....
Is this something we want Jagex? or is it something you want........?
Maybe if there was another option at the vote poll like a let say....
-None of the above-
Maybe...maybe everyone's voice could of been heard.....
I decided not to vote, although I "FELT" forced to vote considering the fact that my voice would not be heard since there wasn't the option "none of the above".
I didn't vote anyways... it would of been nice though...
Just add an NPC to give us the task of the so called Artisian skill... That's the way I see it... Just a task giver like Slayer....... so much for something fresh and new ehh?
Also just remember what happened to the fan base of the previous Runescape...
