No, No, No... Everything here could be added to improve existing skills. If this passes then we may as well all hop back on RS3. Why cant you spend your time on cool stuff like new bosses... new ways to train the current skills like the agility update? That's what players want. The obvious is right in front of you!

Interesting concept, but with all due respect I'll have to give it a no for a few reasons:

1)
It doesn't strike me as an essential skill to the game, which is a quality all other skills share. the Artisan skill seems like a skill that players would grind away at just to look impressive. Also the skill may upset a small percentage of players, causing them to leave, which is what Oldschool doesn't need. Just a thought, speaking from a veteran's perspective.

2)
The Artisan skill sounds useful, but after reading it, it doesn't appear all that useful, or unique. It's basically an extension to other skills.

3)
It kind of has the "gateway to overpowered content" vibe to it. I feel like it's a stepping stone to release unnecessary and overly complex content.

However, it is appreciated that the Old School Team isn't ignoring us :P

@OSRS-Jamie I wouldnt be so hard on the mods after all we still have a fair bit of control over whats in the game we didnt have much choice for Rs3 did we?


I understand that, but the folks that did play this game years ago and left because of reasons like this should be heard.

Gathering raw materials is a concern. Particularly seeds as others have mentioned but other items as well. Things like seeds can't be gathered at all. Their availability depends on randomness.

For raw materials that can be gathered, could one get additional artisan xp if they gathered their own raw materials?

If one wanted to focus on one or two skills (say I want to be a farming herbalist or a woodcutting fletcher) could one get artisan tasks related to their chosen skills?

Even if I wanted to be only a supplier of raw materials it is doubtful that I would be able to compete against the quantities that the bot empires could provide.
The point of the journey is not to arrive.

@OSRS-Jamie Haha agreed, i left around 2011 with each new skill and update came extreme power creep and unbalance so i understand your worry trust me just your first statement felt a little aggressive for something thats going to be clearly turned down.

My opinion is 49% of the ppl vote and you guys have said it only passes at 75%..so once again..we was screwed. all the ideas where totally ignorant imo. thanks for skr3w1ng us again.
