A new skill should be exciting and offer something unique and fun to train! Sadly this skill and the other four skills in the poll seemed blah/pointless/boring. Maybe we need to poll some more skill choices, because if I remember correctly you guys said that you received 400+ skill ideas. And when polling more skill choices also add the option "None of the above" because otherwise the percentages might be misleading. I find it hard to believe that the five options that you last polled were the best ideas out there.

That or they are all bad because they were player-made. Some of the ones not picked could probably have been expanded on and were not thought out as much as the 5 presented. Wouldn't be surprised if a good amount of the submissions were Dungeoneering or Summoning spin-offs.

@ Mod Mat K

I will outline all the reasons why noone wants this new skill

1. Simply not a skill
A skill is defined as an ability in which you preform with expertise. The whole idea of Artisan is merely a an ability to follow orders from NPC's. It is in no way a unique skillset. Some may argue that everyone loves slayer. Well news flash, slayer isn't a skill either regardless of home much myself and others love it. It is still a task system and not a skill

2. Superior Items
The fact that there will be better cloned versions of existing craftables is outrageous. Noone wants to have 2 stacks of sharks in their bank (one for sharks and another for sharks (s)) Bank spaces are already pushed to the limit as it is.

3. Rewards
They are all either useless or over powered. We don't need special axes for skillers to wield at lvl 3. The 1 additional inventory space is insignificant. The boosts for combat are outrageous and over powered. Noone wants a skillers "task system" (because I refuse to call this a skill) that has an effect on combat.

4. Training
I'm calling the police right now, because your dealing drugs if you think I'm going to craft 100 vials... It boring. Sure that was just an example and there will obviously be more interesting tasks. But that still brings us to the first point. 1. Simply not a skill

The Ramifications
I will tell you right now that I will cancel all of my subscriptions the very second I notice Artisan is released and I know many who will do the same. Jagex seems to excel at making something good and then ******** it up completely. You need to be far more conscious of the new content your a dealing with and think of the implications before even allowing to to be polled.

My Suggestions
1. Abbolish this idea and reconsider some other PDC skill entries.
2. Establish an OLDSCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL
3. Communicate directly with the community coucil on ideas and updates.

I wish it incorporated Gatherer skills because now that the mass of the bots are banned, stuff is getting expensive. Look at Prayer Pots/Super Restores for an example, they are way too pricey, it's out of hand. Hi Mod Ronan

I think you've put a vast amount of effort into coming up with suitable ideas for the specifics of the skill and how it works. I'm annoyed that people say it's 'disappointing' and they're unable to justify why. The skill can be beneficial to skillers and combat lovers alike, and there's nothing wrong with promoting this harmony. I'd love this to be added, it'd be a great addition.

I'm not too sure I like this idea to be honest. None of the PDC skills really felt like a skill, and although this was probably the best out of all of them, this just feels more like a task system than a skill.

To me this whole 'new skill' process hasn't really been thought out well, it's kind of been like 'Let's think of an idea real quick and add it as a skill just because it's possible'. I think a new skill needs to be thought up by the developers and a lot more time needs to be taken doing so.

Not only that but it sounds really tedious to be honest. I'm gonna have to vote no on this one.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE could you put an option on the vote to implement this as a minigame/task system rather than a skill.

i.e Do you want us to implement artisan into the game?
1. Yes, as a skill.
2. Yes, as a minigame/task system.
3. No, not at all.
