Also, will the xp/task scale with the artisan xp?

e.g if I'm assigned to cook 100 sharks, will I gain artisan xp = the cooking xp gained?

If so, some tasks will be highly op compared to others.

From what I've read, people don't want this skill because it seems hard to train (gathering the material especially), not rewarding (kinda random items as reward) and not satisfying. Also, it's not really a skill.

Maybe you could just turn this project into daily skilling achievements with a special reward shop. You could gather "skilling tokens" by doing the different skilling tasks and use them to buy some cool new stuff (it has to be appealing for skiller pures).


This is much more appealing than adding a new skill. Gives the economic boost to skillers by creating a supply drain on consumable resources, incentivizes training different skills in different ways, and prevents the addition of many best-in-slot items that would alter the PvP scene.

I really love all the great new ideas that were added to accommodate the PDC Skill, but I don't quite think the skill, as a whole, is what the community wants right now. I'm afraid it's too... [for lack of a better word] boring for some of us. Despite all the new additions and rewards, people disagree strongly about a 'Skillers-Slayer'. I personally enjoyed reading all the brand new additions to the skill, but will still vote no, because I do not support the type of skill it is. I'm not too fond of the requirements of the PDC Skill itself. If I desired a new skill, it would not need to base it's foundation off of already existing skills. This is because any attempt to enhance the new skill will require rework for already existing skills, potentially devaluing them. This sometimes can good, but is out of the comfort zone for many of us at this time.

First: I liked the idea of Artisan: slayer for skillers.

I don't want to rant, but if this will be polled, I will vote no. Why?

Because:
-Slayer is nice because it adds content to the game, it makes it useful to train combat, even for a skiller.
-I was hoping that the skill added something to smithing. I like smithing, but it's pretty useless, it's just a money drain. Would be nice if we could actually made something that is worth having 90+ smithing.
-Slayer supports the gameplay of runescape: Grinding. Nothing wrong with that. Runescape is grinding, and slayer makes it worth the patience. It's that bit extra over a nice new level. What I understand, Artisan doesn't. Who's going to spend his time on making 100 vials? Why would I do that? Just for the XP?

I hope I made myself clear. I just hoped for boosting some skills again, that they're useful. That's not what I'm seeing here. Sorry Mods, I really like the fact that you're inventing new things for OSRS.
