I also don't get why high artisan level clothes such as Arcus top gives 10 ranged attack and 0 defence.

As I see so far this skill is mainly for lvl 3 skillers (wearing hatchet at 1 attack) and pures (wearing equipment at high level ranged ,1 def).

Unless you drastically increase bank size, no way I would ever even consider voting yes. I'm just not going to keep 1 of every kind of fish and log and whatever around so that I can have them around for artisan tasks. My bank is already full as it is.

From what I've read, people don't want this skill because it seems hard to train (gathering the material especially), not rewarding (kinda random items as reward) and not satisfying. Also, it's not really a skill.

Maybe you could just turn this project into daily skilling achievements with a special reward shop. You could gather "skilling tokens" by doing the different skilling tasks and use them to buy some cool new stuff (it has to be appealing for skiller pures).

indeed, thats what i disliked the most. This will wreck rune prices.

IMO no skill "needs" a GE. In fact, I wish there were no trade methods at all in the game. If you need something go get it. Make it, farm it, kill stuff until it drops etc. This Artisian skill has the potential to get players involved is aspects of the game they probably have never seen before or done. I am sure the original thought process in creating RS was not "lets make a game where people will buy tons of materials and stand in a bank until they get 99". If that were the case why not just make a giant ge with bankers in it and delete the rest of the game world, as alot of the players have never seen it anyway much less interacted with it.


this is an MMO. Trading is huge facet in MMOs. I'm not here to play a single player rpg like skyrim where I go and farm all my own stuff.

You do realize how much materials you are asking people to farm on their own right?
you want me to go waste half my life and go mine 100k coal just so I can level up smithing on my own? If this game was forced to be ironman mode like you say, there might be a couple hundred players max. I'm glad you aren't making calls for this game.
