Prayers:
Preserve: Great idea. A+.
Come to think of it, it's actually very helpful especially in the long term. Saves you gp because you won't be drinking w/e combat pots you use as often. makes you stronger overall for longer because, well, it does what it does. And it extends boss trips or w/e type of trips you go on. The only problem is if it takes too much prayer points because that causes all sorts of problems and debates on if its worth using. I hope it takes such a small amount of prayer points to the point its obvious you should use it for everything. I'm getting real sick of these "best in some situations" updates.

Poison Absorb: we can do better...
There are just too few situations this is useful for, for it to be important enough to be a prayer. Plus, if you get poisoned, you should have to pay for not bringing an antidote with you.

Rigour: Well it's about time.
the only debate on this one is whether or not to keep the defence req. The only people who don't like this are pure and 45def accounts because they want to use it for pking. But since they have low def, in exchange for higher offensive skills, ide say its for their own good they can't use this prayer. Plus, the def req makes sense since everything else has skill requirements as well.

Divine Grace: nty
This really devalues pots for running and the agility skill itself (it's already too useless). Plus high prayer and having an altar in your poh just adds to that.

Augury: about time. but no dmg boost?
Same as what I said about Rigour. Was hoping for a dmg boost but that comes from items :( so giving it a dmg boost aint happening.

Venom absorb: Same as what I said about Poison absorb.

I will try to keep up with replies to this and edit it when people persuade me to change my opinion. Also can someone tell me how good the rewards are supposed to be? Like best ever or more situational? Because it sounds like best ever, yet the stats say tier 2.

Listen up jagex mods here's how you fix the raid prayer rewards:

Poison Absorb: Damage done by poison heals player.
EX: player or monster is damaged from poison, you receive health equal to the poison damaged delt.
PVM use and PVP use.

Rigour: Remove Defence requirement

Augury: Remove Defence requirement.

Venom absorb:
Option 1: Drains opponents prayer by 1 for every damage done by Venom.
PVP use
EX: player receives 10 Venom damage and loses 10 prayer points.

Option 2: every damage done by Venom heals you.
EX: Player or monster receive damage from Venom and that damage heals you.
PVP/PVM use

These updates are TERRIBLE! Is this really the best we could do? This community is so incompetent that we all bow down to this overly demanding poll system. The result it seems to me is that we are too afraid to progress this game. When will we ever see new high level content that replaces the old? Or are we too afraid it'll devalue our armor, or be "OP" without even offering armors/consumables/prayers to compensate high level weapons?

I remember the PK videos, and absolute praise to Jagex when Dungeoneering came out. Chaotic Maul being a fan favorite. Well now after testing your PTR Beta:

Elder Maul: ABSOLUTE ASS. This thing is a joke, and will not mix up PvP whatsoever. You are going to ruin the Chaotic Maul ever being given light again for this garbage? This neon light pink lazy garbage.

Elder Wand: I wasn't overly impressed with this either.

I could go down the whole list of raid rewards, but I won't waste my effort. 75% Poll rate, and a 2 year track record of not introducing any sort of deep progress to the games leveling system. This is such a joke in my opinion, and the team is not willing to do anything about it. I also had my hopes up that these raids would be EPIC, and brand new top of the line content would rush in and save the day. That you would advertise this brand new change, but look at this disaster?

Whoever the staff member was in the HQ room who suggested turning the Obby Maul into a pink recolour, with nerfed chaotic stats... you are a moron.

It's almost 2017 everyone. Please enjoy another 10 years of the Armadyl Godsword being accepted as the overall best item in game.
-Affordable value
-Best weapon in game
-Amazing PvP potential
-Used in a lot of PvM as well

Raids were a brilliant chance to take a sharp U-Turn away from these typical garbage updates. You have ruined that.

I had big hopes for raiding... I consider this the biggest update since Old School released. Jagex has butchered almost every hope I had for this game, but this only proves it :(

It's not too late to stop this polling garbage, or to at least announce you need more time. Also not too late to stop introducing new game modes that separate and kill the game further.

Dragon Sword, Platebody, Elder equipment, and so much more is a complete joke. I did Beta as well. Maul was such a joke

You should have the new armor sets to have a item sink instead of a coin sink. Here is a modest idea for the new armor sets. This would require you to add new godwars items though.
You would have to add a Bandosian Warhelmet to complete the melee set. You would have to introduce a magic set for Zammy boss, it does not have to be subigation it could be something new like Zamorakian Garb(torso), Zamorakian Gaze(hood), Zamorakian Guise(Legs). The zamorakian robe set could be based on the kodai current stats. Then maybe have the kodai robes have magic accuracy or damage boost whatever it is in game.

The raid sets would require a player to use these godwars items on them to "charge them". Lets say 1 piece would give 50% and require the player to pay some coins as well. You could have the raid sets be in pieces and would have to be made with a skill to complete the uncharged version or like the magic fang/tanz fang/serp visage be a 1 drop but have to be made into something that would be a uncharged version. A player who got a set piece/pieces would have to have lets say for example 90 in smithing to make the melle set,90 in crafting for the range set, 90 in runecrafting for the magic set can be lowered if need be. Places the armour could be made would include thurgo's anvil, crafting guild a workbench there, essence mine a essence rock there.

A new reward item to possibly add would be a barrows cape that would allow a person to use a set helm on it to charge the cape and give it the full set effect while wearing the other set items, while being able to equip a different helm like a slayer helm. I mean who wouldn't want to do their slayer tasks in dh with the slayer helm effect bonus! =D cape consumes the helm and degrades as such like kraken tentacle. The cape model is already in game from the skeletons in the barrows tunnels, and all brothers seem to wear it as well.

This update so far is very disappointing. It really seems like it'll be dead content with how the rewards have been so far. I don't see value in the prayers other than rigour and augury. the new amors are still not worth anyones time they slightly better? yet 10 combat higher wtf not acceptable. the wand and the mual are copies from dungenerring context. why the hell you putting them in game with raids yes we want them no we dont want them though raids. we just done new priority poll which said we wanted new skill and you listed a few skills and dungenering came first so you think beause of this u just stick in few rewards from it? no fking hell no we loved the skill to grind to 99 then to 120. it was first skill to 120 which was fun for all. it made me want to get all 99 beause you need high skills for door if yu did not have them then it was a pain or we could not do bonus room meant we lost exp. then we had rewards we loved them wepons and prayers u could get from and and other thinks like boncrusher whitch yet again u robed and put it in game though diaries. you said you dont want to copy rs3 yet rs3 has raids so are you not copying? if you going to copy wank ideals and stuff then you going to piss alot of people off like me. if u taking/copying from rs3 why not bring dungenerring out that will be a new skill and one we want. we also want stealling creations and soul wars and no we dont want to combined the two or others ffs we want them how they was or little bit different and not to things put to gether ffs, you take a lot of ideas from kids and lot peple are just not happy with you doing this. in my opinion you need to scrap raids so wasteing your time and ours. you have made some great changes to game but seems now you going to far and us old players from 04 to 07 will end up quiting we came back on here to play (old school)

People still do not realize that the bright pink recolored items are placeholder graphics? Just smh..

The maul is fine. For a melee weapon, it's actually reasonably accurate and will be much more accurate for actual pking, unless you expect all of your opponents to have 99def while being in maxed gear...

118 x (144 + 64)=24,554
113 x (190 + 64)=28,702

Def>Atk

Atk / [2*(Def+1)]

24,554/57,406=42%

The maul has roughly a 42% chance to hit in a fight between two piety pkers using typical gear setups. Against a zerker, it's hit chance would be around 63%.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.
