Also, not trying to add insult to injury here, but pretty much 90% of this update seems copied literally verbatim from dungeoneering during pre-eoc. In that respect, I don't feel like this update would be unique in the sense that it's fresh and "old-school."

Cool idea, and although I'm an ironman and I am not necessarily required to entertain the new updates due to not having access to the grand exchange (for the ability to sell whatever rewards I obtain for profit), I will likely be voting no to this update since I truly don't think it's necessary. Again not that I dislike the idea I just don't think it's necessary at this time.

Closing remark - my all-time favorite old school update was Zulrah. I think that Zulrah provided a challenge as well as significant rewards, while still making lower-tier weaponry and items viable for those who can'


Do you really think everyone will suddenly take the new robes and wand in the Wilderness? They won't. The ancient staff will still have a demand.

Did Dungeoneering bring in new magic robes? No it didn't. The Elder maul is also weaker than the Chaotic maul and it doesn't replace the godswords. The AGS will still be a very good KO weapon and SGS has its use in PvM. Many items are actually not copypastes at all.

You realize that Zulrah brought in a very strong weapon for ranged and that venom is very strong in PvP if the opponent can't cure it?

It seems you just love Zulrah for the overpowered skilling supplies it provides and have actually no idea what the impact of Zulrah's uniques was on PvP and PvM.

I think that there will be many more reward blogs if you continue in this path. Sometimes its best to start with blank sheets, this is going nowhere. The only thing ppl agree on is the mage and range prayer (ppl voted those in with the minigame rewards which mever happened). Removing d plate was a good thing as you had no plans to give it any special effect. Truth be told you can remove the rest of the rewards as well. They are all cosmetic stuff which wont be worth anything. Why did you nerf the elder wand? Sure the melee stats made no sense but removing it dmg bon? It should have +20% to make ppl be willing to pay a decent coin for it. I just feel let down, sorry, ik its not ur fault but this is terrible. Elder maul should me lms reward as u say its pvp use unless u "safespot" choatic elemental. As a true pre eoc dg lover i beg you to give us decent rewards so ppl actually can go and camp raids and make it worth their while. I will be voting no to these items because i dont feel that the rewards meet the content. Robes should be better than ahrim def stat wise etc. Ahrim is not supposed to be bis. Ahrim is set effect items like rest of barrows. Change the set effect to satisfy the ppl complaining. Personally i would like to see choatics or REAL tier 75 melee/range/mage armour (similar to nex armours hp buff if u dont want to bush bandos/barrows stats). If you really do wish only base everything new around whip and barrows armour consider starting to make good expensive skilling items.

Continuing with this set of rewards would really need a total rework not just a few minor changes (or nerfs) like you did (it should be only buff done). Mage robes should be made actually be bis and not niche, remove poison prayers, make elder wand bis (+20%dmg) make elder maul hit faster in pvm if adding a bludgeon to it. Its not my ittention to sound rude, but i want this to be a success as much as you and with these rewards it just wont cut it.

This raid rewards went from "hey this looks pretty good effort to reward ratio" to "what lackluster crap". Looks like a lot of dead content before it's even released. Some of the rewards just became to weak or useless. The Dragon plate is getting pushed out. Most likely for a year or more knowing how slow things are done in old school.


How about you get a few more devs for old school with the customer base growing or just give us pre eoc.
Drakes need a buff to be worth killing and not a blocked task

I feel the Maul should be 1 tick slower than godsword with 155 strength bonus, also I don't like the idea of the bis magic attack robes in game being 1 def. Make them 75 def+prayer and give them defensive stats in between Ahrims and Infinity robes.

Both poison/venom prayers should just be combined into one.

You release all of this gear with best in class equipment boost but in reality my gear makes no difference half the time when fighting someone in slightly lesser or similar armour with inferior stats. (in other words better stats all around and higher equipment bonuses all around) The fights are way to random and not based enough on stats.


Is 99 Attack with rune scimitar actually any better than 40 attack with rune scimitar? I am told yes but years of ingame play i have never seen a difference. the same goes for every other item..level needed any worse than max level possible?


PLEASE ADJUST STAT EFFECTS ON COMBAT AND EQUIPMENT BONUS EFFECT ON COMBAT! also make castle wars f2p and give games room same competitive mode that last man standing has. THANK YOU.

Just now noticed they butchered it like that. Jagex seems to be trying to play a game with us. They read about powercreep complaints, then childishly display sarcasm by butchering the stats completely. "But you said you wanted it weaker guyz! So weaker it is. :v)"

If I'm right about this, it is extremely unprofessional.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Will be voting no to ALL of the prayers. Range is already extremely overpowered, adding more damage and accuracy to it without first nerfing ranged void is just going to be ridiculous. Rigour doesn't belong in the game, and honestly the rest of the prayers don't feel like they belong either.

The maul doesn't have a special attack, so it won't be able to hit as hard as AGS or even BGS spec. Making it slower would just make it a potential KO weapon, but you may as well use an AGS.

Raids rewards are perfectly set, goodjob.

Sidenote: Would be amazing if you can add a slightly stronger slash weapon in the long swords catagory, as we dont have a primal tough sword in game a part from using tenticle whip which is a rope-cord weapon.
