Im genuinely upset but I appologise for my harsh choise of words.

Dragon sword is close to dead-content upon release. The dragon axes - they're ok. The kodai robes are only used at zulrah and wont even benefit much except for some pray bonus and maybe slightly notable accuracy for the 'red phase'. Wand is like Slay Helm said a slightly-buffed-ancient-staff-fancy-looking-master-wand-water-staff. The maul only provides for an additional build in the wilderness, as the Abyssal Bludgeon will always be superior DPS in PvM. And all the new prayers will do is make DKS even easier to tank Spinolips and make you juggle even more food at Armadyl duo's.

Raids will never be worth doing this way for signature loots which is really dissapointing as this might be the highest tier PvM-conent released on OSRS for a lóóng time.

I agree with Thank on the new melee/range gear.

Today, jagex' OSRS team announced what they're planning to poll related to the upcoming RAIDS update due later on in the year. It's a huge hit and miss (abit like previous pre eoc updates if you're familiar with the RS history).

The reason OSRS was originally made to play was to embark a remenis and gameplay for the older community who thought Jagex had decieved us in the combat evolution and other updates. To keep a old style to the game orientating back from the 2007 era of scape.

This in a whole was done and bit by bit they released updates into the game making it more and more alike to the newer version of scape.

As a player since 2003 i've seen most of the history. As a whole there's more new players and players that are happy with the game as it is now than the players who are almost at completion stages wanting more content. Why make a mistake like before (even if you deny it) or even take the risk.

I'd say the downfall was 2009. All weapons starting being Overpowered and PKing was a no go unless you had the money to use the best equipment. No skill was involved what so ever.

The whole reason 2007 was so fun was because SKILL and learning were fun parts to the game. You're only bringing the ERROR CODE back into the game and making it turn into something that will ruin the economy!

YOU DO NOT NEED TO CREATE A PETTY UPDATE EVERY WEEK. SLACK OFF AND LET THE COMMUNITY MAKE A ECONOMY THAT DRAGS THE PLAYERS IN. THE UPDATES ACTUALLY DO F-K ALL. ITS WORD OF MOUTH AND THE PLAYERS THAT MAKE THE GAME FOR WHAT IT IS.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If i stand alone in this then fair enough, but seriously. Don't make the same mistakes and then not be able to admit they were wrong and bad in sheer pride and embarrasment. That's really bad workmanship.

I want everyones opinions in my own little mini poll:

Do you think Raids should be added into the game, if so why?

~Writing , opinions do matter.

Ahrim's is incredibly old, common and doesn't have much value to begin with. Not only that, but Kodai's being better, despite uninformed belief, wont instantly mean the death of Ahrim's... It'll still be the second best robe in the game, still cost way less and thus be easier for risky buisness.

For something with the best mage stats and used "commonly" as you imply it seems... incorrect to state that it has no value?

NOOO, don't take away the dragon plate and make us wait another year for a shitty update for it. The only few things I was really looking forward to was dragon plate and dragon short sword. The rest of this will be to expensive due to being pvp items. Dragon plate was a good alternative to bandos or barrows. Drakes need a buff to be worth killing and not a blocked task

I don't understand why you want the best wand in-game save runes?
Imo the better way is to make best wand be the more expensive version of training and give other wand or staff that saves runes but it has lower stats (like Staff of Light and Chaotic staff)

I should have clarified that "value" in that specific context meant monetary value, and not a lack of value in usefulness. Like I stated after, being the 2nd best robe in the game and being "cheap" is a use in itself.

I'll correct it to be more clear what I mean :)

Maul - only good for pvp which is pretty much dead atm
Wand - less damage than sotd = not worth buying
Kodai robes - removal of defence bonuses is dumb, devalues them a lot
dragon sword - absolutely no use unless you happen to be a 60 atk pure and need a stab wep

all in all, rigour and augury only decent rewards and even then I think we'd all be just as happy not having them

Honestly, just scrap these reward ideas and try again
