Old School Mods and JaGeX,

It's so amazing how much depth and effort the devs put into Old School behind the scenes, even just to prepare for an announcement like this.

Please, it is wrong to introduce new skill(s) to OSRS !! This makes absolutely no sense in that it dissipates the soul of the game! What is the point of this referendum?
I'm genuinely curious.

...Besides, Sailing isn't even on the ballot.
A lovely little level 3.

I like all the skills but honestly
I wish there was a skill like dungeoneering in the game + GE. It would push the speed of the game.

Which is exactly why people like you are in the minority.

I must say, all of these outlines have been put together so clearly and cleverly, especially the Herding skill's explanation - it did an extremely good job of engrossing me and encouraging me to read further. I have to agree, these are they key principles to have in mind when making any change or adding any content to the game as those sort of disruptions are a surefire way to make the players suffer.

However, after much consideration and appreciation for all the other concepts, I have chosen Artisan as my favourite idea. I like its similarity to the concept of Slayer as it primarily involves other skills to train it.

I will be voting NO if we are hopefully given the option as the originalty of the game is what counts for me. Most of the updates such as the Godwars Dungeon and the new items that came along with it I have much appreciation for, but I just believe that a new skill would destroy what Runescape is to me, even though I have the option not to train it. I felt the same with the arrival of Dungeoneering in 2010.

I must also agree with what seems like the trending opinion of this forum. I vote either no new skill or bring back summoning and or dungeoneering. My idea would be to tweak summoning to make it more skiller friendly by being able to collect charms through skilling. I also thought a charm pouch similar to the money pouch on rs3 would be nice so they do not clog up the inventory.

I have to vote for artisan. It's the only one that you can sum up in a sentence. Slayer for skillers. OSRS does not need a huge new complicated skill. Keep it simple, and hopefully it can get done quicker too.

Though I do think the rewards need a lot of work. Way too complex. I think the rewards should start simple, since they can always be expanded later. Hope the dev team can tweak those a bit.
