None of these suggestions are good - or rather - good enough. They're basically task systems and mini-games. And c'mon, herding? I mean, what the hell?

The least worst in my opinion is geomancy, but I don't think any of these would be GOOD additions to the game. Isn't this supposed to be Old School RS, not some form of "alternative" RS? I thought it was a given that OSRS wouldn't get any new content (especially not major content like this), ya know, seeing as it is just an old version of the game, FOR THE PLAYERS WHO PREFER THE 07-ERA OVER RS3. Fixing and polishing existing content is fine (and probably needed), but a new frickin' skill? Hell no

I have read geomancy is one for the best out of all of these..

I'd like to offer the benefits of mystic necklace lvl 96 it should have magic damage boost of 15%-20% and stack with staff of the dead, and would require 80+ magoc to be vielded

Stats would be +20 to magic and magic defences Praybonus of 5

and should unlock a more powerful spell for combat with a random effect, causing poisoning or reducing pray 1/4 of the damage done or a poison hitting 10s but not both until the effects have worn off. Before the other effect can come or the previous can repeat.
New spell should be named similar to the necklace like mystic force and be like 10% faster than other spells and it max hit should be like 35 as the magic would be more useful :)

The necklace should be charged with a magic ritual, requiring 90+ magic lvl and optionally a few runecraft lvls would be used :)

Please read my suggestion and say what you think :P

None of the skills are really amazing or trigger a reaction like WOOW I WANT THAT!! to me..

Artisan is definitely the best option, but it has a couple of flaws:
- The rewards, there are a lot of rewards possible, but they are likely to cause too much of an 'easyscape' feeling..
- How this would work for production skills, it should not be like the daily task system where you have to make x amount of toy boxes for example. Rather the tasks should be use * oak planks with your construction skill or use * steel bars to create items with your smithing skill.

It can be implemented, it can be a nice motivator to train skills you would otherwise not train, or hunt creatures you would normally not hunt, but the added value is minimal..

EDIT:
I think all proposed skills are more minigame-content than skill-content, and honestly, I think we need a minigame more than a skill, since so few people are maxed atm.

Since many players dont want the skill i have new suggestions. WHy not make all those items that are described in skills to be put in our existing skills instead.

Like geomancy would be fit into mining and magic and crafting example, and the other skills items and tasks described to other most suitable skills we already have....

They will add something new to our existing skills.. without adding new skill itself..
like imbuing the sutff at geomancy would fit into magic skill and finding stuff into mining skill or crafting.. and for other skill that were proposed would be working same way.

Would be a lot of work, but it would be worth

Long Live the OSRS(+)

unfortunately the only one i seem to like is artisan, but even worse is i was going to send in a new skill idea, i had it mostly finished but since i own a house and weather got nice, i totally forgot about finishing the skill and sending it in. without being bias, with better structural appeal to the reader, i think you guys would have liked it the same or more than artisan because it was a lot like artisan but more in depth and not limited to skilling only but rather all skills.... shame. does anyone know if it is too late for me to send this in????

1.the main delema is artisan is smithing of weapons and armor we already have smithing.
2. forestry is about all of nature at its best. plants, trees, bush's, wildlife = pets and summoning. but wait they will not add pets and summoning to this. contact a forest ranger - they say animals are just as much part of there jobs as plantation life.
3. geology is like falling stars and mining

all these supposable skills are more likely to be mini games not skills. skills do not have rewards. mini games do.
