This is an absolute mockery of the game. It's not too late to "do the right thing" and back out of this now. I get it, "the players game." But, a professionally designed and highly tested all under strict company control, is the absolute answer.

This is going to be such a face-palm and have no vibe into the real game. Once again, "it's not too late."

If you feel that way then go to RS3. That is the final product of a "strict company control".

all of these skill concept are terrible! at this rate sailling would be a better suggestion. i'm fine with new skills and all but as for the options that are available for use to choice atm, i say no to all of them! why not something cool like mounts? i know i know that mounts alone is not a skiill; well it doesnt have to be, but why not somehow include through a new skill. i dont recall reading anything under herding about mounting, which is surprising yes how are you supposed to herd your herd, by foot? what i want to see is something that well tie all the new upcoming contents, such as the new continents, which will somehow introduce a new skill. heck why not a something like A NEW COMBAT SKILLS i'm not talking about something like combat related such slayers or dungeonering but more over like supporting combat, well not even like prayer or summon but maybe the mechanic of ancient prayer and magic or lunar magic which spell books can be switched. so that kind of mechanic maybe but combat related either tours range and melee. why not get a new combat skill that combands the combat lvl calculation of attack and strenght into one skill! such as range and magic are not brokan into two or maybe even additonally add two more addition to the range and magic skills.
my suggestion for the one combind attack and strenght spell boook switch would be something called HAND TO HAND COMBAT OR MAYBE KUNG FU OR SOMETHING LIKE THAt which would some how tie together iwth the new continent. ANYWAY MY POINT IS THIS THE NEW SKILLS SUGGESTIONS ARE RIDICULOUS AND ARE DOOM TO BE CRAP CONTENT. so lets improve the existing skills and prohap add addtionally to it.

I actually really like the forestry idea. I've always liked construction and its like it in a way. Not to mention all the cool tasks and even cooperating with other players along with possibly fighting bosses. If not a skill please make it a mini-game. Awesome stuff guys. I like the idea of Forestry a lot, the Clan Citadels were quite fun in RS3, I didn't enjoy the fact that it had me work hard just to be able to make others happy in my clan, here I could do as I please and relax. Seeing that Artisian is winning already makes me sad.

What it looks like to me is those job-assignments like in RS3, which I hated.

Perhaps I will change my view, or you guys could perhaps merge the two ideas, have a forest in which we have to work - keep the forest healthy by cutting down 3 infected yew trees, make bird houses out of the logs and get 3 pairs of birds to move in into a few bird houses.

Knowing you guys won't read it, perhaps other players could spread this idea. :|


This is actually how I originally designed the skill to be. You'd have a maximum change in the health level in the forest depending on tasks. You'd be told to say, cut down 100 overgrown trees, build 5 dams to regulate water flow (using construction), etc. Each one would help the forest a certain percentage, so that you can reap the rewards later on.

Thanks for the support, guys, it means a lot to Valk and I. (as I'm sure it does for the other creators) Artisan's already won, but, this was very fun to make and hear feedback for, despite the fact that most people seem to have only read our title.

Also, I am not against adding a new skill, but I find it biased that players who do not want a new skill have no option to vote "I do not want a new skill."


If you had paid attention you would've known that after the winner of these 5 is selected, another poll will be held. If less than 80% votes it in, it's not happening. So you'll get your choice to vote no eventually :)

If there were an option to vote "no" right now, then it would prevent the need for a future poll if the majority of players don't want a new skill.


@Undead Valk: Actually it's 75%, like all polls.

@Sabth*: If you don't like any of the ideas, your "no" vote right now is simply to NOT vote.
