Monkey madness is looking great, loving the ballista idea! The jewlery doesn't look bad either.

My only suggestion is could we change the enchant/re-enchant cost to something like 2000 blood and soul runes instead of 20 of each? The exact value can be worked out, the point is we really need a sink for the all the blood and soul runes coming into the game from Zeah.

Hi Mods and development team,

I am beyond thrilled you've finally announced a new quest that will be a real challenge and follow the Old School RuneScape lore we have, but there are some issues I'd like to address.

First off, this is going to be OSRS' first Grandmaster Quest and you want to make the reward usable by anyone ??? I strongly disagree with that and hope you reconsider. That will take the drive away from many players since they have more money than they know what to do with and they will buy a Ballista, and that's only if it's comparable to some of the already available range gear. Make completing the quest a requirement for the Ballista and really consider how you could differentiate it.

Next, this should only be available to those who have accepted Daero's experience. Some content demands requirements and you shouldn't cater to a specific build. Many 1 Def builds focus on PvP as their primary aspect after completing X amount of in-game content. As you know, people who have main accounts will usually raise all skills, and in turn, are able to access all content. Going back to the point of it being the first Grandmaster Quest, you should be testing the playerbase's ability; maybe in the quest at some point you need to wear a certain piece of equipment that has a requirement of 20, 40, or 60 defense to wield? So be it! And I say that as a Zerker. [I've grinded for Barrow's Gloves and it's a satisfying reward but I know my 45 defense places some limitations.]

And lastly and this is important, WE DO NOT NEED BIS ITEMS! The ONE piece that holds some weight and could be useful is the Necklace of Anguish only because rangers could use an amulet like that. The other jewellery, as others noted, is pretty much a reimagination of the RS3 content. Please do not isolate our already existing items.

Thank you, we're trusting you with this.

I'll be voting no to everything but MM2 (and maybe the ballista).

Zenyte jewelry? Okay, I have to ask this....I feel like almost every new piece of content has a name that begins with 'Z' - this seems like the lazy way out for naming things....or is it just me?
Also, another "after X amount of times this item has been used, it's destroyed" item? Come on. Other than those two complaints, it just feels like a 'filler' for the game. Could be cool if

The ballista seems pretty cool. A good way to bring javelins to use again, thanks! I don't have any beef with this weapon so far, so there's a start. Nice job! :-)

"Access for Pures"
No. It's great for the dev team to connect with the community, but pure accounts are supposed to be limited....very limited. Don't just say "Well if the community wants it" or "why not?". That's awful decision making. Think about this very thoroughly if you go through this.

Range amulet seems a bit weak. 5 mage strength is alot more than 5 range strength. That equates for only 1 extra damage while losing all other nice stats fury gives. It will probably end up dead content sooner or later.

I like the ballista idea, however i think that you should have to complete the quest to be able to use it (maybe just the heavy one). I also think that it should actually have some dps use... not just for last hitting in pvp. I would suggest that it should be better than a rune crossbow because it takes two hands to use and the ammunition is harder to obtain.

Either that or make the ballista the same sort of idea as the dwarf cannon, just single target instead of multi-target. That would be really cool

Ok, I normally hate quests but I have to say I'm pretty hyped for this one but ONLY FOR THE REWARDS. A lot of people seem excited for the jewelry and a lot of people seem against it, so I hope it passes the poll because that's the most interesting addition from this imo. Also, I noticed some people commenting about people not wanting more items that consume other items in exchange for a specific effect, and I think any new items added into the game should have a consuming aspect to them because without it every single item in the market will eventually drop to alch price. I don't think people understand the necessity of item sinks and it's really unfortunate. Anyway, hope this passes! with Balista not being BIS, I'm wondering what it's purpose will be? More of just a smack weapon for low level rangers? I'm a bit confused on the purpose. Hopefully it all works out though because javelins NEED a purpose. Great post team!
Cheers.

Really excited for this.
I have a few suggestions.

JEWELLERY ITEMS:

These need to be buffed and locked behind the quest.

-Ring of suffering
^ Could you add the option to "fuse" a ring of recoil with it? This would only provide the 40 damage like a regular recoil and then need fusing with another. I think it would suit the name of the ring well.

-Passive Healing
^ This needs to be worth while. It should be a 100% chance of healing 10% damage. Unstackable obviously.

BALLISTAS:
^ I like the idea of these, however. I think Dragon javelins should be added, and that they should be given really OP accuracy and damage stats. Otherwise they will be dead content. I'd like to see slow 70's damage from this. Otherwise, meh.

TBH, allowing access back to ape atoll without accepting the training would make 07 more historically accurate. Making the training mandatory was a discriminating patch. Addy gloves for 1 def and rune gloves for 13-20 def was standard forever.

And in regards to ape atoll chinning - pures already do it. They just leave the quest incomplete until 99 range. They range/dds, or range ags until they can get their dragon scim. All this is doing is making it a little tiny tiny bit more convenient, and not banning chinning pures from the d-scim. Which is just silly.

But for real. Is a +1 all stat nerf that was made WELL AFTER THE FACT anywhere near as important as other PVP balance problems such as Void? ( I mean, void should at least be turned into a money-sink on death, right?)

Should they be able to access the quest? Of course not. You can't quest cape on a pure. You can't (very well) do high level PVM on pures.

Also, the ballistas are just cool. I dig it.
