With regards to coinshare, the item shared should be placed for 1gp upon receiving the drop and split whatever highest offer was in the grand exchange in realtime. This would avoid too much gold entering the game as the original coinshare spawned gold equal to the market price at the time of receiving the drop and only complete offers based on the actual demand.

yes to loot share and coin share and have toggle on/off on everyone friend chat.

have too many rs3 people commenting in here about shards instead of coins for coin share i don't agree with shards.

yes to Alternative Systems for loot share, yes to being able to see our own lsp, and no to it being visible to every other player.

iv been waiting for this update since gwd release and makes me happy to see it being talked about now :)

Lootshare should be as per the original system, with one exception. Here's why:

There was nothing wrong with the original system (in my opinion) as it both incorporates the time and effort to gain lootshare points, as well as leaving it slightly to chance. This worked well.

With regards to decay, I have to agree with your point about the corporeal beast, however, lootshare ought to still have some kind of decay, perhaps 2%.

I don't believe that lootshare points should be visible, as this could potentially hinder the ability of players who have put the time and effort into gaining the lootshare points.

Coinshare is a difficult one, with pro's and con's, however it should not be added.

I think lootshare is overdue, though i'm glad its an incoming feature.
I agree with points that being able to exploit LSP is a thing to be avoided, so I am in favor of the approach of moving towards a coinshare type of system.
With this coinshare system, keeping the feature where the item is sold on grand exchange, but maybe deal the coins out based on what the item sold for instead of its 'market value', which is often far different from the 'street price'. I'm not sure about the feasibility of this, but that would most likely negate the issue of coins flooding the market because of inaccurate grande exchange prices. Looking forward to lootshare again though!!

Coinshare no thank you. I won't have Jagex implementing something that can in anway possible way change the current economy in rs. Unless you find a system which in no way possible make a gp inflation in any way, like alching coins, items to be sold for coins at npcs.

I am split in regards of lootshare, as you've said yourself a team with lps lootsharing can overrule a solo player for the drop.

If we don't have LootShare worlds, can we have it so that the damage done by a team isn't all added together?

What I mean by this is:

Situation when LS was first added:

A, B, C, and D decide to LootShare a boss.

E is killing the boss by themselves.

A, B, C, and D each do 50 damage (combined damage of 200).

E does 60 damage (combined damage of 60).

The drop goes to A, B, C, and D as 200 > 60.

What I'd propose changing is having it work on individual damage, so that a LS team can't just come and crash you, so in the same scenario:

A, B, C, and D each do 50 damage (highest damage is 50).

E does 60 damage (highest damage is 60).

The drop goes to E.

However, if A were to do 61 damage, the drop would instead be put into LootShare and given to A/B/C/D, as the highest damage was one of the LootShare team.

If what I've said doesn't seem clear, let me know what part is ambiguous, but it basically means you can have LootShare on every world without making people unable to solo (as a team with LootShare active crashing them won't have any more advantage than they would if LootShare wasn't active).

Player 1 (solo): 40% damage
Player 2 (team): 30% damage
Player 3 (team): 20% damage
Player 4: (team) 10% damage

Player 1 as they did the most damage as an indi

The team would get the drop. The team is treat essentially as a single player.

This is the biggest problem with LootShare tbh - if it's introduced, the team shouldn't be treated as a single player.

I read the first 8 or so pages before considering my own opinion.

Loot share
and the suggestions I read for it, will overcomplicate things and have a high potential for abuse and negative consequences. For this reason I would request a
different solution
.

Coin share
also appears to have some difficult issues to deal with, I will
hold judgement
on it until the future information talked about in the dev blog.

Shard share
is a cool idea I had not heard of before. I think it will be a lot of work to implement for the designers, but it is a way to eliminate the scamming issues that plague PvM right now.
I could see myself supporting a shard share system if done carefully.

I hope I speak for at least some people in this regard, but all of this "ShardShare" nonsense needs to stop. This is Old School RuneScape. When we did GWD or Corp back in the glory days, we used LS,CS, or it was FFA. I either want to receive a nice drop, a share of coins, or be able to do more damage than the others and earn the drop. Implementing LS is a must as far as I'm concerned. You're then able to find people on forums and not run the risk of someone being dishonest and taking the drop for themselves. As far as CS goes, I understand the concern of GP inflation, however, I would rather have inflation due to people enjoying the game by being able to have the thrill of getting a large CS split vs. the thousands of gold-farmers who are damaging the economy everyday. I'm sure for a lot of us this is about reliving the fun we had has kids. Lets make it possible for the players to be able to experience the thrill of seeing that long green text and the cash stack appear.

Questions I have about this Shard stuff.

1. So lets say you have a 3 man team at GWD. You get a hilt, you get your share of shards.

Now what?

Can you trade individual shards?

Do you have to wait to accumulate "X" amount of shards to create said item?

Can you Alch them?

For players who don't normally do GWD and go with some friends they get a drop, what good is 50 Shards to player who doesn't intend on going back?

I almost like the idea but I think it overcomplicates a very simple mechanic.
