Problem:

The people that actually want a new firecape just want a new look. No one is even asking for a new bis cape.

Solution:

When completing this new cave you should have the option to pick from several color kits to change the look of your fire cape. This would keep both the veteran players and pre-eoc/rs3 players happy.

There is no need for any more bis in this game

I agree with this and would be happy for this to be polled to the community.

The problem with always coming out with new bis is that it devalues the pre-bis items in those slots (obviously fire cape is untradable, but I'm talking about bis in general). If the oldschool team is going to keep coming out with updates to satisfy the new players then just come out with new tiers of armor/weapons that aren't bis. For example, a person with 40 defence can decide to wear rune, rock-shell or gilded. This is a solution to keep coming out with new content without devaluing the meaning of oldschool.

PLEASE NO MORE BIS IN OLDSCHOOL

They actually started this trend with having the tier 5 zeah armor being equivalent to the stats of mithril. This was a very good idea, because it gives more options at that defence level. Coming out with new bis every few months is going to kill this game in the long run just like pre-eoc.

This poll will not get my support vote, and here's why: The Fire Cape is one of the most iconic items that Old School Runescape has. I love the idea of adding a new 'Fight Caves' and allowing players to really earn a new BiS item, but leave the melee cape for the original and exremely classic Fight Caves. A new one would only diminish the Fire Cape that we've grown so fond of.

I think allowing players to complete the Inferno and choose between a new BiS range or magic cape would be awesome. It takes next to no work to get the current BiS for both of those skills, and in my opinion, the accumulator is very sub-par visually. As for the looks of those capes, why not just make them just like the Fire Cape but change the color? I would much prefer that to the cape that's currently drawn up.

I'm all for adding new and exciting content into OSRS, but a tradeoff for that should not be to diminish one of the coolest and most exciting items to obtain in the game.
