Take your time, push the release to next year. I think we need those QoL updates more than anything else right now, and setting aside a few weeks to do nothing but those will really help to make the game as it exists now more enjoyable. In addition, I don't want any part of the inferno to be rushed. Make a bunch of new graphical assets, make some new sound tracks. It all adds to the experience.
As for the rewards, I really think that moving to just the single cape was a great idea. I'm all for introducing new BiS mage/range capes, but I think that they should come from somewhere else. I personally would want a new boss (unrelated to the Fight Caves/Inferno) for each, but of course, you only have so much dev time.
As for those who are of the opinion that the Inferno will be a rehash of kiln, I think that is the wrong way to go about thinking of it. Kiln does exist, but not in this game. It was a previous update, in a
completely different game
. The new cape isn't a revamped tokhaar-kal, it's a new cape entirely, an upgraded version of the existing fire cape which is the BiS melee cape in
this
game. The inferno will not be exactly like kiln, because RS3 plays much differently than OSRS. Certainly there will be some similarity, but not because inferno is made like the kiln. It will be because they are both made like the fight cave.
EDIT: Oh, and feel free to throw some prayer on that cape! Not sure if you accidentally left it off or you actually didn't want it on the cape.
