Dear Jagex,

As you've posted a picture of the new and improved Melee Fire Cape I think it looks great, the only thing I'd like to add is could you give the option after defeating the new boss as to which cape you receive as a reward? so have the Range and Magic cape the same design as the new improved fire cape but with the corresponding colours,
Green
(range),
Red
(Melee)
Blue
(Magic),

I can wait, although runescape has never been about graphics, i'd rather the design dude enjoy making his art. I would love it, but if the design team didn't have fun making it, I can't see it doing be well.

What exactly are "quality of life" updates?

In response to a lot I've seen being said here: OSRS is for pre-EOC RS...not nostalgia.

Also, don't listen to those people saying things like "How many times are you gonna ask us?!?!". There is no such thing as communicating too much so anytime you all have an idea, ask away! =]

I would definitely like to see a mid feb release. but it would be nice if you get the monsters to look cool. i don't care as much about how the arena looks as much. maybe put out a concept art contest for the community to come up with monster designs maybe that could help speed things up or you may already have what they look like planned out.

i want it to pass and it wasn't far off. look jad is too easy and i love the fight pits and the challenge and i like how they made it relevant with slayer and pet update but i want something hard. i can do jad with my eyes closd and so can a lot of people.

Good addition to the game that is an extend of the tzhaar, yet something seperate, yet challenging (I hope!). Paying 1 fire cape seems more than fair and logical. Hyped for the new monsters.

Rewards : no! not a new bis cape! A fire cape is super iconic.. I can understand it loses some of its old school nostalgia feeling when you see tons of players wearing them, but we also have (trimmed) skillcapes that are "equally" powerful (SADLY, fire cape is STILL relatively stronger than a skillcape), why neglect the skillcapes? If you implement this new BiS cape, the value of skillcapes (besides cosmetical) will be 0. Why devaluate skillcapes when they should be of equal value of a bis cape (trimmed for sure)! So the bottom point is: BiS cape ONLY when upgrading the skillcapes stats (heck, why not make an upgrade for trimmed version for 3 99’s if you want it to be more effort)*

Question: Should The Inferno be added to Old School RuneScape? This is an activity similar to the Fight Cave, offering waves of monsters. YES
Question: Should a new best-in-slot melee cape be given as a reward for defeating TzKal-Zuk? NO (unless read above)

FOR THE PLANNING OF THE UPDATES, WE DESPERATELY WANT THE TEAM ON THIS OPTION:
push The Inferno back to next January to come with Zeah batch 3, filling the open time in our schedule with massive amounts of quality of life jobs.

I really like the look of the cape and I think it's quite disappointing that players voted against it.
I guarantee that most of the people who voted no have just failed on jad or are working toward getting the fire cape and probably feel demotivated to even bother if it isn't going to be the best in slot melee cape.
I must have spent 10m on my first cape in supplies, could get to jad every time but just got myself in a pointless panic; that feeling though when I saw jad red barred and I knew all them hours had paid off was top!
People complain about the old school team looking to implement unwanted content or content that is just for maxed players.
Think the idea is that they want players to see that cape and think, "I'm gonna get the necessary requirements to fight that boss"
Which keeps players playing and paying for membership.
Fair enough we don't need another range cape/Ava's and to be honest the god capes are definitely what I see when I think of old school.
Pures running around in the wildy in ghostly robes and Zammy capes :p

The melee cape looks class and hopefully it passes
I'd be trying for it straight away I think! (Well maybe after somebody produces a guide)
