I think the blood alter should stay in Meiyerditch like it was released in 2008, and have the soul alter somewhere on Zeah - that way the alters aren't in the same area, but a long-awaited alter is released, too.
Someone else said it somewhere around here, but the new idea of an essence is pretty unnecessary.

I don't want to criticise the update before it even comes out but soul runes have few uses currently. I don't see why anyone would bother RCing them unless soul runes suddenly rose in price dramatically*
Money: Natures
XP: Lavas
A mix of both: Astrals
Who would use a soul altar?
"Why now?
As a part of the release of Great Kourend in January we will be introducing a necromancy spell book, tying prayer and magic together. The primary runes used to cast spells from this spell book will be blood and soul runes.
With this new spell book on the horizon we expect the demand for blood and soul runes to increase and we believe that the supply to meet this demand should come from skilling rather than PvM or shops."
Did you even read the post? They aren't worth much now but according to this they are going to have a use with the new spellbook. So until that is released there won't be much use or price change but there will be when that time comes.
Too high. Should less xp than abyss natures for the money you'll make with it. Maybe in-line with Abyss or *slightly* higher depending on how much effort is put into it.
Natrure runecrafting is not runecrafting training method. It's moneymaking method. Just like GWD is not ranged training method even though you get ranged XP in there.
These new altars will be combination of moneymaking and training and they will fill the gap between lava runes and nature runes.
The problem here with your comment is the fact that astral runes already fills that gap between making some money along with boosted xp gains..... Blood runes and soul alters would be going too far with this and it would basically be another worthless skill to bother with again and be to overpowered and devalue the whole game.....
Repoll Zeah as the playerbase has vastly changed in the past year/year and a half. After seeing the elf city update in RS3 I'm not a fan of the direction Zeah may potentially go. I have the fear it may become the dominant continent and a one-stop shop for everything without us realizing it until it's too late.
At the very least if Zeah can't be repolled, present what content is being offered with Zeah and poll it separately such as the Necromancy book. Don't just pile it all on us please, a little communication goes a long way especially with this huge change coming to OS.
I think this method would ease a lot of people with this big and potentially unsteady change coming to the game.
i agree
