I'm all for new RC content, but this doesn't sound like the right way to implement it.

I'd like to see these altars fit in with the lore, so I'll echo others in the thread by saying that somewhere in Morytania would be a better fit for the Blood altar. The Soul altar might fit in Zeah, but I'm wary of too much content being released with Zeah, as opposed to being polled individually and added over time. I'm also not too keen on the sound of this new kind of essence. The phrase "re-inventing the wheel" comes to mind.

As for the XP rates, I believe the skill really needs balancing in this area. They need to be brought in line to be consistent with progression and other skills. The stigma around this skill is silly. It's only prestigious because getting a high level takes more time than most other skills and rewards you with more GP than most other skills. This doesn't mean that there isn't room for other/new methods. The XP/h of Lavas and the GP/h of double Natures shouldn't be untouchable. New content that comes close to them doesn't "devalue" anything, especially since the required levels are higher.

Natrure runecrafting is not runecrafting training method. It's moneymaking method. Just like GWD is not ranged training method even though you get ranged XP in there.

These new altars will be combination of moneymaking and training and they will fill the gap between lava runes and nature runes.

The problem here with your comment is the fact that astral runes already fills that gap between making some money along with boosted xp gains..... Blood runes and soul alters would be going too far with this and it would basically be another worthless skill to bother with again and be to overpowered and devalue the whole game.....

Astrals are level 40 runes doubled at 82. These new altars are for 77 & 90.

You're still doing astrals past 90 in the current game not because it's some divine constant in the realm of RS but simply because there is lack of high level runecrafting content besides Multiple Runes.

I don't get why most of the people in the comments are saying these altars would be dead content/pointless, etc... WHEN IN REALITY these would be a big deal to the RuneCrafting scene: 53k Xp/Hr from crafting Soul Runes would be the 2nd highest Xp/Hr method after Lava Runes... so this would definitely be the way to go for those who care about efficiency and don't want to sink their bank's worth by crafting Lava Runes... Yes, Soul Runes aren't that useful at the moment but they will be soon after the update because the new spells they would introduce as they stated, so these could probably even rise in price then stay stable with their newer value... so who knows if this is gonna end up as profitable as crafting double Nature Runes... or at least close to...

In sumarry:

- Want the fastest possible Xp/Hr method regardless it'd cost you? > Lava Runes (at 75 RC/using giant pouch)

- Want the fastest possible Xp/Hr method THAT PROFITS at certain levels? > Soul Runes (90 RC) > Blood Runes (77 RC) --- [ 2x Astrals {82 RC} may compete with Bloods in worth, depends on the impact Bloods would have after the update... but Bloods are better Xp/Hr than 2x Astrals and will likely be more profitable aswell]

- Want the most profitable method regardless how much is the Xp/Hr rate? > *Double* Nature Runes (91 RC) --- [ Assuming Soul Runes don't beat 2x Nats after the update ]

* These statements are assuming you're using all pouches after 75 RC *

The xp rates are good, blood runes maximum exp will be 38k, but im pretty sure u wont be able to get the max xp because its probably without missing a single tick, astral runes are around 30-33k xp/hour and more money when u can make double, so blood runes are totally fine.
Soul runes are high xp, but again, u cant get these 53k / hour, it will probably be like 45-48k, the same as lavas for legit players who dont use mousekeys
And dont forget, its a lvl 90 method, its already crazy to get lvl 90 rc.
The xp rates are just fine. It will still takes u around 200 hours from 90-99 rc.

I also have a feeling the players with high rc are only complaining and players who like it just dont answer here. There are like 30 negative comments, dont change anything because 30 players dont like it.

Arceeus, really no one is gonna say something about the Pokemon God Arceus here?

i like the Idea of new altars and stuff, but i've never known anyone to get more then 25-35k rc exp (without trading at altar like laws) per hour, untill runespan came to RS3, so why make new exp rates go 35k and 53k per hour? seems a little to high tbh.

and please put the altars far away from eachother.
