This skill get my full support, the more i read about it the more exited i get.

Especially the resources Islands will be a great additive to the game since the crowdness in alot of places. For example i used to train hunter on my ultimate account at red chinompas, but since the massive flood of bots the exp rates dropped drastically and i just quitted trying to find myself a good spot. Im sure alot of people can give countless examples where they feel the pressure bots make on skilling in this game.

I hope they will make big work of the resources islands, and make it difficult for bots to acess those places. So people can find great spots to train their skills without beeing hold back by immorel people who use bot scripts with only an eye on profit, sad for the people who really like to do the hard work themself isnt it?

I have the feeling the developers will do a great job with this skill, in my opinion this game really need new content!. Especially the adventure this skill will bring really fits this game.

Few suggestions :::::

* Why only kraken? There should be a Flying KBD and KQ too.

* The Sea of Gelinor shouldn't be random, the ship should be totally full of coordinates, to which we can teleport with a new spell in Ancients MagicBook, to use coords teleport we must have once visited that coordinate, above all the Sea should be stable but the monsters we find In the caves should have Random Monster Spawns.

* KBD(instead of KBD, Seavarg, a distant cousin of Elverag can be used, and Runite Dragons can be releases) should appear near Volcanoes.

* There should be a few Helpers of The Commanders of GWD Bosses, from which we could gain new Bows/2h/Wands/Amulets.

* When joining a group our part of ship should be added to the Team Ship, that will work as the superior quality built by oneself would surpass other's lesser built SAME minor quality Part of ship.

* at higher levels we should be able to unearth TREASURE CHESTS. Depending on luck they will be either easy ,medium, hard or elite Caskets.

* There Should be no ship loss on death, it should be only Coffers lost on death, hence would make a Captin more attached to his ship.

* on death/during a fight in pvp, other players cannot destroy the ships they can only damage it till a certain point after which they will automatically acquire the Ship's Coffer or Treasure Box.

A couple suggestions I have are,

- Make sailing joined with construction in a way that we can benefit from it using our houses,
This gives more purpose to the construction skill and the new sailing skill aswell.

-Sailing should be used to transport to locations without teleporting in my opinion since your sailing some where. You should be able to go where ever you want, not just click on a map and it automatically take you there.

-You mentioned selling your boat? I think that's a great idea but can we sell to other players? or will it just be to a NPC? It would be nice to buy a boat and use it to explore. This would cause profit to be made during the skill which is why many people do skilling anyway.

I'm not a huge fan of this minigame, I'd rather get another firemaking or another agility or something more simple

I'll vote no, and if it passes I will leave the skill level 1. I'm just asking for jagex to make it so that players who aren't intetested in new skills don't have to train it to get the best exp rates in all current 23 skills, and as someone planning to do a lot of post 99 construction, please don't devalue the price of the skill with sailing

EDIT : while I was out smoking I kept thinking about this whole sailing update and what I'd really like to see is for skilling clue scrolls to send you on a boat to explore and get the next clue and so on instead of making it a skill, I think it would make for content that doesn't go dead while making it a bit more appropriate for this type of content instead of making it a skill

Er no, Artisan is just another example of how eoc players ruined old school and continues to do so. Artisan itself shouldve been added in without polling.

Totally dif thing, even a stupid ****** knows that. Eoc is SIGNIFICANTLY MORE UNPOPULAR the da its added the player count almost died like 40%.

Theres MAJOR support for both artisa and sailing, however as u know, many ******** eoc parasitic noobs will ruined it going 26%.

The old school team got the polling system wrong. They shoudlve added hugely popular skills like artisan and sailing without polling. ONLY when a counter polls that is to determine whether sailing should be removed at 75% passing rate should they consider it. Otherwise add without prior notice.

Eoc is guaranteed to get over 95% rejects vote. Both dung and summ is even better, its not gonna get polled since its absolute eoc content, hence never gonna pass voting stage anyway
