Sounds like fun except for the ship building giving exp in similar manner to farming. Building ships should give very tiny bits of experience to match the effort and training sailing as a group should be encouraged. I'd also like to see the PVM and PVP related to sailing actually be difficult for maxed mains in good gear.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. This isn't the kind of skill people want except for elitist PVMers and slayers.

ehh... im still not sold... im in between yes and no... yes because i love new content... no because this will work better as a construction mini game..... this skill just screams construction....

The only difference is, it is no where near a mini-game.

A mini-game has no progression and uses points of a sort to buy rewards from a shop.
Skill has progression and unlocks new content via levels. It is easily a skill with how it is structured. Yes, it can be structured like a mini-game, but the way it is structured, it is not a minigame. And you can't just shout construction since it has crafting and smithing as well, and of course sailing to places.

i disagree whats stopping a mini game from having those qualitys? gaining points to unlock something can be the same as earning exp to unlock somthing.... btw how can something be structured like a mini game yet "its no where near a mini game.... "

Although I like the idea of group sailing, it shouldn't be pushed as the best experience rate like dungeoneering did. This would open the door to hosting voyages while people leach. Whether you want to do solo or as a group, the experience rate should be about the same. Group sailing should be pushed as a fun concept, not as a leveling method. It sounds like you will only have access to one boat cause I don't see people being able to make multiple boats at once and then being able to sail on all at once. So I'm sure the experience will be fair considering only being able to do 1 ship at a time. That is just a speculation though.

I said sailing can be structured like a mini-game...it is not structured like a mini-game, its structured like a skill..that is why it is no where near a mini-game.

Just add this without polling, whats the point ruining the game when every single quality update gets voted down by selfish people.

Anyway rest assured, I like the 74% others will guarantee anything similar to dungeoneering or summoning fails. So have fun those 26% outcasts

m8 you really cant deny that this is nothing but a mini game with progression added to it, to feel more skill like..... exactly like how dung was.. anyways i wont be voting in this poll.. since i'm torn between yes and no... unless they use sans ideas id vote yes for that

You clearly can't distinguish the difference between a skill and a mini-game. Dungeoneering was more mini-game base I would have to agree, but they did structure it like a skill poorly. It was basically a skill structured inside a mini-game. It was a mini-game because it was only in one part of the map and you earned tokens/points to buy rewards outside of the place. It was a skill because you had progression and unlockables as you gained levels inside of it. However, with sailing. It doesn't take place just in one area and it progresses with levels and new content at those levels. There is no point and reward system with it.
