How are the mechanics going to be with this skill? Will it be similar to the sailing in quests like Cabin Fever, or like the cutscene during Dragon Slayer?
There needs to be balance among all skills which there is not as it is. I'm simply worried it will be like divination or something where it will change 90% of gaming for current players, If it's done right i'll be grabbing sailing too, made a few names already, but I'm voting no because there is too much haste there should be years of thought into it.
Without over doing it at the same time, as irrelevant as fire making as useful as mining or something. or barb fishing type thing but map wide since you're on a boat... how about name it Levitation? Make a world in the skies
Levitation would go more along magic and the underground world of runecrafting in rs3, and would be perfect with all the zooming and such haha. Off topic now
Punishing those who differ in opinion from you is asinine. Damn good thing you're not in charge, and never will be.
Not a punishment.
You said "No" i do not want this content. So you are getting exactly what you asked for! You asked to not get it, so you are not getting it.
Fair is fair!
(mild satire aside, you've got to admit this policy would make you think twice before instantly voting no for something)
This may seem harsh - but we currently have a very big problem with Old School updates - they are typically hard to pass the poll (the significant ones anyway). I can't think of any other solution.
Literally every post I've read from you so far has been so ignorant it ticks me off so much. You suggest the idea that when people vote no to something that they should be locked out from that content - which is clearly a punishment btw - to try to pass more polls (when plenty of polls already pass, too many in my opinion).
What you fail to see is that not everyone votes no to some things for the pure reason of "Oh, I wouldn't want to do that in game" or "I don't like PvP, so I'll vote no to this" (not necessarily reasons for this poll, just examples) but that is not everyone's thought process, and I'd be genuinely surprised if that was the majority of everyone else's thought process. When I vote no to something, I vote no because this is something I wouldn't want to see in the game because it would likely change a lot about the game itself, whether it's content that I personally enjoy or not.
Say summoning was polled and your method was in place, what about those of us who care about the game's integrity and want whatever difficulty is left in the game? Should we be locked out of potential content because we don't want our game to be ruined by crap like unicorns/yaks? I believe that thought is as ignorant as can be.

Polls are typically hard to pass for a reason, and a pretty simple one at that. They're 75%+ to make sure the community really wants what is being polled, and the whole idea of being able to vote is pointless if there is a fear that you will be punished for saying "I don't want to see this in the game
I love and pay to play
." Fear tactics do not make fair polls.

Sailing is a skill that I would like to see in Old School, and it has my full support. Bringing Summoning and Dungeoneering into this conversation is pointless and counterproductive to the purpose of OSRS. I believe reintroducing Summoning or Dungeoneering will undoubtedly ruin Old School and force many players, including myself, to quit.
