I do agree that Dungeoneering is more "minigame-like" then "Skill-like", but it was so much fun to do with friends and leveling it up was super enjoyable aswell! I personally would find it amazing to get Dungeoneering, because it would give me something to do with mates whenever I'd be bored, besides PvM/PvP..
And no, I don't like Rs3, so pls don't tell my to go play that terrible game haha <3
Which begs the question, why do you feel Jagex won't allow players the opportunity to work on Sailing with friends?

What kind of a dev blog is this? You provide no additional information on how the skill would work. No details at all.
First dev blog.. I couldn't see a reason to decide on yes or no.
This one added to it.. yeah, nothing has changed.. no additional info available even though we were offered that early this week we'd get more info (which leads me to believe you won't be offering more info at all) so now I'm leaning more towards no.
TLDR, because you don't feel they have provided information fitting your rigid schedule you're leaning towards voting against the project. Without information.
Gosh, this community.
And you're leaning toward (or outright) voting yes without information to be able to determine the potential damage to the old game.
Gosh, some of this community.

Some new Fishing methods would be nice with Sailing.
Something like a multi line fishing boat with click intensive fishing that gives great xp rates and maybe random fish on the lines?
Plus whale harpooning to tick off b0aty. Kappa
I like this idea. Honestly, with the whole community chipping in and bringing their own creative ideas to the table this Sailing skill could be truly epic, fun, fresh content. Provided Jagex continually tweak the skill during the Development phase based on player feedback we could have a real winner here.
Unfortunately it will probably insta-fail the poll due to negative nancys or rs3 people that want Dungeoneering. We all love this game, and if something isn't perfect it is easy to see why people can get upset or be negative, so I'm not angry about this.

I think Old School should possibly (maybe) start a policy where anyone that voted NO to an update is blocked from using that update if the poll passes.
People voting no or planning to vote no to sailing should be blocked from doing it. If this was a policy, they would seriously think twice before voting no to this update (but also for other updates). The current mentality is:
its not perfectly how i want it in every way. I am going to vote no and throw my toys out of the pram so the update does not pass.
One of my friends actually voted no to the first poll "should we add a Left click Bank option instead of having to right click the bank and click Use Quickly". He voted no! Yet when it came out, he used it! Unbeleivable.
The possibility of being deprived from fresh new exciting content should change the mentality from:
- "negative nancy critiscizing everything and always voting NO" (blocking updates from passing)
to
- "not sure about this idea, but i think i may enjoy it and i want to do it"
Punishing those who differ in opinion from you is asinine. Damn good thing you're not in charge, and never will be.

T. Pratchett, 1948-2015 RIP, you are missed
why people keep saying no to a skill still in development? calm down, the skill will be realeased in the next year only, and, why votting no to a thing that you didnt tried? is like saying "i dont like bread because i never ate one before".
I really want this released but the communitys hard to convince they don't want any new content that makes the game better overall because they havn't had it before. it's kind of like "you only miss it once you have had it" they would need to try it out first to make them actually want it as I said in a few other posts with that in mind I think we'd need a Beta Server to try the skill ourselves to get 75% yes' but I truely do hope this passes reguardless.
Best update ever even better than Zeah in my opinion and thats very exciting itself so I really hope this gets released. Thanks Mod Ronan, Mat K and everybody else on the Old School team
We need new content even if half the communitys blind to this.
Can't wait
Please give us some more information too I'de love to see how the symble looks like minings a pickaxe, firemakings a log on fire
I want to see the symble, the skillcapes design/colours etc.
I doubt you have that information yet but thats very exciting also
I really hope the community all relise how good this will be for the game and what it can bring in the near future.
Also love how it's not going to be quicker in groups it'll be the same XP ratings which means for ironmen this is fine
.
Do you think I did enough smiley faces?

While this is true, the entire skill was trained in a single location, from 1 to 120. No other skill in RuneScape functions this way,
That isn't true.
Almost every production skill can be trained in the same location. Construction is also only trained in the PoH, but we don't consider it a minigame.
They *can*, but they can also be trained elsewhere. Dungeoneering literally cannot be trained anywhere but Daemonheim.
As for Construction, that's actually a really good point. The reason I didn't include it is that the entire skill functions as a backdrop form of utility to facilitate other skills. Most of what you do with Construction is either pretty or it helps you perform other skills better (portals, altar, etc.), and it doesn't give external rewards like a minigame/Dungeoneering does.
