'On top of this, Dungeoneering and Summoning both come with their fair share of balancing issues'

Punishing those who differ in opinion from you is asinine. Damn good thing you're not in charge, and never will be.

Not a punishment.

You said "No" i do not want this content. So you are getting exactly what you asked for! You asked to not get it, so you are not getting it.

Fair is fair!

(mild satire aside, you've got to admit this policy would make you think twice before instantly voting no for something)

This may seem harsh - but we currently have a very big problem with Old School updates - they are typically hard to pass the poll (the significant ones anyway). I can't think of any other solution.

They're hard to pass for a REASON...to make sure there is a CONSENSUS among the playerbase, that an update is wanted. There is no NEED for your so-called 'solution'

The only way this could work would be if you voted yes to a poll that FAILED, you would be banned from the game entirely.

Wanna put that up, against your 'no votes can't use it' plan?

Didn't think so. Stawp alreddy.

I vote yes.
Obviously the game can't stay the way that it has been forever and can't be twining RS3.
I like to see it moving in its own old school way that won't affect it so much like Summoning or Dungeoneering as those two skills did to RS3.

Thanks for posting this so I didn't have to. I don't see why so many people want to see the game just turn in to RS3.

Sailscape? Perhaps like release of Evolution of Combat you should give a full preview And vote on the skill of 90% acceptance before introducing a new skill to an Oldschool game that has had the same skills for over eleven years. Which is how long I have been playing. I have hopes it will be like mining or a skill that does not take over the focus of the game. Since I gave input maybe think about how runescape is male based ran game and that melee has way more content then the rest. Now that I think about it I feel like Sailing will not benefit runescape in a fair way such as a normal skill does and probably like dungeoneering have more content then a main skill such as range melee or hunter in itself.

Opionion thank you for all of your work.

AWBIT ressponded:

The last thing you need is something else like a new skill to focus on. FIX THE GAME AS IT IS FIRST.

I agree with this. They need to fix the broken content they've put in the game first before trying to bring in big updates.

They also need to show us they can actually deliver updates like this properly. Not with glitchy, overpowered, game breaking content in there that people did not vote for, only to be told 2 years down the line they need more 'data' before doing anything about it.

I think they would butcher sailing. I think there would be glitches, overpowered content and ways for cheaters to gain an upper hand on everyone else, because I've been given reason to believe this - most big updates have been like this. I will probably vote no to this skill even if it 'looks' good in the dev blogs. It's a shame.

I agree you have your hands full with rs3 and oldschool the way it is already! you have much harder work preserving the game as it was pre eoc

Along with my previous posts I did not mean to offend or harshly reject (still my vote no clearly) but it's just my opinion and concern and perception, like a trend I've seen this happen and I'm scared there will be too much involved especially if you are already saying there must be a new skill. No dungeon no summoning (say US!) not because I do or do not care for them but you are pretty much forcing change. Which I not old school. I'd be fine with major update once a year. Bug bots fixes monitoring ect for the daily. You are making it so that someone who logs in 6 months from now will overload in content intake lol.
