If the goal is to maintain a certain distance from difficulty of training skills between OSRS and RS3 by returning to the training methods of early RS2, then it has been achieved. The bulk of skills are what people would consider non-combat and there hasn't been any gamebreaking change in ways to level those skills. There have just been some welcome quality of life updates like reducing number of clicks in otherwise carpal-tunnel-inducing training.
People for some reason think that there has been been a gamebreaking change in ways of leveling combat skills. There has been none. As said, afking already existed in the past. Splashing already existed. NMZ is just a new manifestation of afking.
