The nativation bar and entire style is far too much RS3. Stop messing around in photoshop and go back to old designs. This is totally a downgrade.

Oldschool SHOULD BE OLD!

Mobile access isnt needed, mopbile websites are notoriously terrible, people usually prefer using a full website and just zooming in and out because the content is not stripped away. Mobile websites totally suck. "Wanna use a half functional version of our website where you cant zoom? Download the app!" e**

If there's nothing I hate more than RS3, it's the HORRIBLY DESIGNED WEBSITE THAT MAKES THINGS IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCESS.

Christ, even buying members was a challenge.

If you want to make a REAL improvement?

Fix the website login boxes so those with username logins can use spaces instead of underscores.

I ended up having to recover my whole damn account. Turns out the pass was right and the username needed five underscores in it.

WHY THE UNNECESSARY CHANGES?

IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT

THATS HOW WE GOT RS3, LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES JAGEX
------

Give us are own forums, using the OLD layout and entirely separate from the RS3 forums.

Get rid of your EXCESSIVE USE OF BACKGROUND IMAGES so I don't need to block them all in adblock to have the forums load at a reasonable speed

Get rid of the erroneous crap and just give us the game.

Finding out how to login to RS3 as a returning player after many years is HARDER
There's a silly title page you need to skip.
The world button isnt in the same place it always was, so you need to go and find it

Your dropdown menus are full of totally unnecessary animation which does nothing but slow navigaion (I have to wait for your menu to expand [1sec* before clicking, rather than a menu that appears instantly on mouseover)

RS2 used to be well known for the ability to play it on almost any crappy hardware.
I have some old computers that will play OSRS absolutely fine but literally seize up trying to load the main runescape website. 50mb per webpage? Come on

I think the OSRS website is good the way it is. Changing it will cause confusion in navigation and its called "Old School" for a reason. To many updates to quick will kill community much like it did with RS3. I remember playing in 2007/2008 and I could log on and see 100,000+ people on at a time...then after a few big updates to close together (including website update) the number was barley at 50,000 online. Please keep the website the way it is, OSRS is enjoyable and brings back memories. I doubt changing the website will cause people to quit, but its a pointless update that would just cause confusion with navigation. Everyone is used to the site the way it is...do not mess it up please.

It needs a direct link to the world map, and probably other game manual parts (not in wiki format). But the map (png format is fine) is the most important for client users.

I also agree with the highscores are better with the links instead of the dropdown bars.

And I don't think a single play now button will work if it goes to a recommended world. The oldschool game doesn't know if it has to pick a f2p or members world. If the play now button goes to the world select page (the best option in my opinion). Why is the world select seperately on the page as well? Put a download link for the client or the manual there.

While you are at updating the website, go for separate forums. Jagex has the technology to split forums, because they have done it with the Dutch forums. That would require less scrolling.

Nice! you guys really are trying to keep it old school with all these rs3 styles and a new Continent, WOW. These are the reasons why I wanted to play a 2007 runescape. Just make the front page say New school runesape. good job guys keep on sucking.

Seems like you should rename "old school" to "old slowly listening to cry baby rs3 players who want rs3 into old school version because rs3 players max out the old school players school"
If this will be the new look of the website I will CANCEL my memberships and convince my friends to cancel theirs
It's your call jagex....its your call...

LOL. Are you kidding me? If you're that butthurt because of Jagex wanting to update the Website, then get off of OSRS.

Personally i hate how you guys are trying to make Old school look like EOC's main page. The whole point of OSRS was to KEEP that nostalgic feeling. Notice how i capitalized KEEP. We do not want updates that remind us of EOC. That was the whole reason why we OSRS players decided to play the older version. I have been a player since 2007 and quit as soon as EOC was implemented because you guys tried imitating WOW and LOTRO. So just keep in mind the closer you guys update things to be to EOC the more players will quit again just like before.

It'd be better to tell Jagex on what they should work on with the Website, rather than attacking Jagex for doing so. They can easily add a toggle on the bottom of the Website which would save your preferences on what, 'look' of the Website you would personally want to view. However, as I'm sure this project is going to go through, you should give them some criticism on the Website that they are proposing rather than giving an anecdote which doesn't really mean anything to them.

another jagex sheep *baaahh*

If players don't like it, that's it. Period. Theres no need for "criticism" rolf. What do you think this is, some sort of a debate? Lmao.

and LOL@ "...as I'm sure this project is going to go through.."
it won't go through. i bet you my balls.

You're entitled to your opinion. I personally really like the current OSRS Website because of it's 2007 feel as well. But, we need to look at this as Business, as Jagex is a Company. I did say that Jagex can make a toggle for the Website so I really do not see a problem. You seem pretty angry though, so go meditate for a few hours and them come back.

Goodbye.
