No to GE.

Yes to trade window opened from Trading Post.
Question: If question 1 fails, should the Trading Post let you click a player's offer to send them a trade request, allowing you to trade with them without meeting up? They would need to be in a bank on the same world as you.


One issue I have with your plan for a ge is this...
"One issue that the Grand Exchange may bring along with it is the possibility of price manipulation. While a large majority of items will remain unaffected, some items that are traded infrequently may end up with their prices being artificially altered by large groups of players in order to profit.

In order to combat manipulation there will be limits on the rate at which you can buy different types of items. These limits will be generous and will likely not interrupt any day-to-day trading that you are doing but they will go a long way in making sure that items are not bought out in bulk."


These limits ONLY hurt legit players, NOT the players you're trying to limit.

no as well...we can have a shardshare without any need for this, thanks for misrepresenting it as having a "need for a ge" to do.

no the grand exchange is horrible they need to leave it out. i bet most of you that are voting are people who play eoc which isn't that great in my opinion. Putting the GE in is gonna ruin the whole point of it being called "Oldshcool Runescape." If you do this your gonna ruin this game. YOU people that want yes the to grand exhange, go play RS3 and leave oldschool alone. its fine the way it is. don't go off ruining it. I don't want to have trade limits again, nor do many of other people. FOR the people who want GE, don't drag that to a great game and make it horrible again. it was a mistake and it Should not be in Oldshcool Runescape.

I agree, personally I have several friends who just don't want to come back because of their hate for the current trading system. Let's be honest no one in their right mind can honestly love wasting time in varrock spamming auto chat until something is bought/sold. If you truly love runescape you want the transactions to be as quick as possible so that you can get back to actually playing the game that we love. Having to go to a third party website to look up the price or to buy/sell an item is toxic. This call for a GE is yelled by thousands, hardly baseless.

Ok, where to start? First off if everyone was as anti-progressive as you we would all still be playing pong. Your fear of content changing the game for the worse will run OSR into the ground. By this standard we should keep all content that is currently being added to OSR out because it was already "fine as it is". If the game does not expand and grow how long do you honestly think jagex can keep it up and running. As soon as new content stops the game base will start to dry up as members of the community gradually leave due to stale gameplay. Being afraid of change is toxic as is this nonsense about what OSR is truly about. No one here wants this to turn into RS3 with EOC, and if you think that the majority of people that are voting yes for the GE are currently players of RS3 i'd say you are sadly mistaken.

Oh my god you are soooo right. I don't even want a solution to the trading system, what I REALLY want is a dragon platebody. Thank you for clearing that up, I can't believe I was about to vote yes to the GE, silly me :|

NO the GE is a problem it is the exact opposite of a solution. IF you want GE then play RS3. leave the GE out of OSRS since it is only gonna ruin the freedom trading and the fact there will be trade limits. Trade limits are horrible and having set labels on things will make money making impossible and harder than it is now. Putting this is will ruin the name "Oldschool Runescape" for GE isn't oldschool at all. Doing this is basically Remaking RS3. NO TO GE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea how about no if you want The grand exchange then play Runescape3. Most people don't play RS3 because of grand exchange. the way trading is done now is just fine. do not add the grand exchange unless you want lots of players to quit, and their for loosing customers.
