Why is the question basically "EOC GE or nothing"?
Why is something akin to an auction house not considered? Prices being set automatically by an algorithm is a horrible idea. There's no situation in which it would work well.

Like this idea. One disadvantage (funnily enough) of the Ge is either the transparency or the opposite, not sure which, of prices.

I also like the idea of taxes for merchants (and other classes. Did I mention you should/could have e.g. a merchant class, a warrior class - with associated highscores, etc) and something like a limit before you pay taxes (so noobs and poor people don't suffer taxes, but the mega - rich don't have increasing wealth). Bit like the tax threshold.

Also like the idea of gaining bank spaces over time e.g. an extra 50 for every 6 months of continuous membership.

Please bring back the G.E. and here's the reason why. Not everyone played in 2007 and prior, some of us joined in 2008 or 2009 and absolutely loved the game, it was easy to start out, when you wanted your new armour and weapons you just needed the money. Some of us want a very complete and organized bank with one of every teleport tablet, potion, special weapon, armour, it's just easier to be organized with the Grand Exchanged. Some of us from 2008 like me or even 2009 and 2010 want that game back, and EoC RuneScape 3 OBVIOUSLY isn't 2009, but 2007 is really damn close. If we got a Grand Exchange I know me and some friends who would jump into Old School RuneScape in literally a heart beat.

Oh and anyone who says that "The G.E. isn't old school", do a bit of research and see that the G.E. was released only three months after the version of RuneScape that OS runs off of now, that was around mid-August, G.E. was released mid November.

NO to GE, if the GE is added I will quit

A YES VOTE FOR GE IS A YES VOTE FOR THE DOMINATION OF MERC* BOTS AND MERC* CLANS
A YES VOTE FOR GE IS A YES VOTE FOR THE ABSOLUTE DESTRUCTION OF OSRS ECONOMY

Everywhere I go in World 1 was merc* bots. So I fail to see your point. And don't worry if you leave I come back - no ge is the only thing keeping me from playing right now.

You just said that 07 "is really damn close" to EoC. and if you guys only played because of the GE, then please stay on RS3.

Another reason why I think G.E will be good in osrs, If you need little items for a quest etc. no one might not be selling them and if your lvl isn't higher enough for the item to be crafted etc. then people would need to go out of there way to get that level, maybe lose some money on the way, then make that item, then finish the quest. Maybe turning there 20 minute quest into 3 hours maybe a day to get the level to create the item.

Are there really people who play this game with this mindset?...

The 3 hours - day levelling obtain that one key item is the whole point of the game...

Why do you think ironman modes have become so popular?

If/when GE passes, can we get the original, one central trading hub design that the GE had in 2007? I wasn't a huge fan of the 4-corners design RS3 has at the moment.

One of the reasons for that 4-corners design is that it spread people out more. On the main trading worlds, with everyone clumped together in the middle, the game had to try and render up to 2000 people all at once, making everything slow down.

The 4-corners design was supposed to reduce how many people were all standing next to each other so that things wouldn't slow down quite so badly.

It also meant that a spammer couldn't reach everyone all at once :)

If anything the 4 corners made it laggier for me. And I don't mind spam.

So you joined a server with a snapshot from before you started and want it to be like when you started? Well I want it to be like when I started, is that okay?

Anyone that says the GE came out 3 months after the snapshot should consider how much of a massive game-changer the GE was. It's very clear a large part of the people who want the GE never played without it.

It's not the time difference it's difference in how the game is played with our without the GE. For quite a lot of people 2007 was already on the new side and had hoped for another build of the game for an OldSchool version.

THe release of the GE started a new era of the game (helped by free trade removal). A new era that many people think is inferior to pre-GE runescape.

Edit: basicly what Diggydug1 said.
