Edit: I see the 70% you were referring too is the poll to reduce the vote down to 70% but my point is still that a nice majority voted for this and just like previous polls which only needed majority...some need to be done for the best of the game...just like you did for splashing..etc...

I think this is redundant of what Z does, but I see where Jagex is coming from with the no support for outside sources making implementations into the game such as the trade system on their site. I see where the issues lies as well with splitting the community into two. People saying that they have to hop worlds, etc, making it inconvenient have an invalid argument because even with the Z-trading, you still hop worlds, etc. Jagex only implemented their system into the game.. For the most part.

Now the issues I see with this system is that there's no way of contacting other players that are online, but with their chat off and not in their chat channel. So if I find a player selling 2k maple logs for 30 gp each on world 11 and I add them and join their chat but it shows them offline and not in their chat, I hop to world 11 and don't find them at Varrock west bank nor in seers village. Simple solution would be to have to have private chat on or be in your chat channel, but if you turn your private chat on, it's only blown up with spam chats from bots advertising some crap, so that is not an option.

Solution to this would be to:
1) Add a "trade" option to the private chat, showing that you are online only to friends or people that have added you from the trade system, or something along those lines.
2) Add the option to leave a message with your trade offer for where you are, etc.
3) Requiring private chat to be on public or for the player to be in their chat channel to show their offer in the system.

Other than this flaw I don't see too much issue with the system other than the division of players between Trading Post and Z-Trading.

Just some feedback after using the Trading Post so far today.

Yeah so I and many other people find it a hindrance to stop what we're doing and hop from slayer task to bank only to get a few kills and waste time and resources to meet up and trade with a player. I think we should be allowed to just throw our offers in and collect the gold when it has finally sold.
It seems every time I get back to my slayer task, I'm having pms come through asking to buy an item. While it's good that the market trading is active, I still find it annoying to go back and fourth from bank to task (or other said activity), to make a sale.
Please give us a way to buy and sell without needing to waste time and xp. Thank you guys! I really hope this gets more community attention. Cheers

On a positive note, im pleased with the trading post as a whole, im sure some minor tweaks will happen here and there but its in the direction Id like to see Osrs continue with. The Legacy lives on... | 115+ PvM Clan

Glad to see this implemented over a full grand exchange, however, unless OSBuddy gains the ability to lookup trading post offers it would still be quicker to use Zybez since I can access the trade offers from anywhere in game. Maybe making the trading post viewable from anywhere but still forcing you to visit one to place an offer would be a good idea. Otherwise I don't see this content getting used much considering 14,048/17,174 players logged in right now are using OSBuddy and therefore have easier access to Zybez than they do the trading post.

This update is very much appreciated and I am sure took a lot of work with so many items to add to it! I have been waiting for this update.

I hope we will be able to trade through the Trading Post but I don't personally want guide prices like there are on the GE. I prefer players decide their own prices, though the Trading Post showing us the average price would be welcome.

I also would like to be able to place buy offers in addition to sell offers.

I am looking forward to trying out the new trading post and providing feedback for possible improvements.

I'm part of the minority here. I don't want a Grand Exchange.

Something I like about no Grand Exchange is the fact that we can still interact with other players. That really gives it that Old School nostalgia feel. With the Grand Exchange, you throw in item to sell and throw in money to buy without any interaction whatsoever. When I think of Old School trade, I remember the full Varrock bank and Falador Park, not the full Grand Exchange.

However, I do like the idea of the trading post.
Some thoughts I have on how I think you can add on to the post include:
1) The idea of "convenience." I wouldn't mind people being able to trade through the trading posts via different worlds as long as they are both online and in agreement as to what they want to buy/sell.
2) Perhaps something like a "trade chat." If someone wishes to purchase an item from you on the trading post, instead of having to add you as a friend they can add you through the trade chat for the purpose of buying/selling the item. I'm not sure exactly how you would implement this, but it is a thought.
3) Definitely more trade slots. I know for a fact when I go to sell things 6 slots aren't always enough.
4) I think there should be the ability to post "buying" offers.

Although there is no "buy" option as of now, what bothers me is people claiming they have to pay "merchant price." There is such thing as negotiation, and since you have to add people in order to buy their item you can negotiate.
In fact, if you really wanted to, currently you could try "bartering" with other players through the trade post because you have to add them and talk to them.
