Back then, that was called part of the game. Don't click accept if you see the person scamming you. If you get scammed, tough ****, that's your fault for not noticing.

i played back then it wasnt half as bad. and scammers still affect the people who dont get scammed. i havnt been scammed. but i hate trading dumb schlongs who think they are being smart asses and tryign to duke me out of ****. try thinkign of a valid reason to not add this stuff. ill be glad to have my opinion changed

If Question 1 passes, should players be able trade items through the trading post rather than having to meet up to use the existing trade system?

Yes 72% (21475 votes)
No 28% (8527 votes)

I think this is able to pass if repolled but I truly hate seeing some updates miss by so little because of the 75% thing. I think it needs to be 70% at least or if it's close...it should be repolled with changes and of course after the 2nd or a 3rd time (due to if ideas aren't implemented right *cough* artisian skill *cough*) then this would help. For all the No G.E people.....research. The G.E was the best *hint* (idea) until it was released with price ranges which owned a lot of items. Especially limiting us from charging over the ranges. After that, removal of free trade added insult to injury thus giving the G.E a bad rep. The G.E had one huggeee problem with a really tiny fix and that fix will be implemented with the post...*NO PRICE RANGES* This will allow players the **bez like posting and give us the freedom to determine item prices without having items controlled and manipulated by the basic concept of supply and demand with limit.

Supply and demand has no limits so it was easily abused on a system with limits. If item demand is high, usually the price is higher but not because people throw tons of offers at a time (just like false posts on **bez), making false illusions of *higher demand*....

Besides the pyramid schemes that preyed on those outside of the inner circles of a merc* clan? When coal would march upward of a thousand GP each and then crash back down to the low 200's? If that happened in real life, those players would have been indicted and thrown in jail. Those players knew exactly what they were doing, they took advantage of the platform and applied illegal real-world economic practices into this game with no consequences whatsoever. Bots were still prevalent (as they are now, but that's a different argument), it only made the job of transferring money from one account to another SLIGHTLY less convenient.

trading post was not a good solution as I suspected. within half an hour of playing and using it I've already had trades where people messaged me saying they want to buy something, I then hop to their world and then they say, 'oh never mind, other people are selling cheaper', wasting my time and just being all round annoying, trades need to be instant so people cant keep checking the post to then find someone selling cheaper in the time in takes me to get to them. another point as well is that many people spend a lot of time killing monsters, skilling etc to get the items to sell, they don't then want to be spending a lot more time trying to sell them.
in essence the G.E. was not everyones cup of tea but it worked and it worked well, and I think after more people try the trading post out they will soon realise that instant exchanges without the need to meet up are the best all round. sorry I know you're only trying to please everyone with the updates and I never have any problems with any of the other updates but the trading problem is one that really annoys me. we just want to be able to sell our items and get back to what we were doing in game.
